Im heading that way (all aussieline up) my self with 7 out of the 14 being true blue.

You have to certainly pay a premium for the aussies, but I will keep on going with this strategy.

The next 2 players to be sold will be internationals and I reckon I might turn over all the remaining internationals at the end of the season.

What I really would have liked was a decent draftee to train but Ive had to settle for buying 3 aussie trainees.

Next season or two whether I be in div 2 or 3, my intention is for the 3 trainees to be the core of the team

Well the term decent is a bit relative.

I think mine are decent but they were ordinary as compared to Guest as an 18 year old

Each has his issues especially given my aspirations to produce Small Forwards

Wills is his height (188cm)

Ryders was his pitiful OD and his 206cm height

Palmeris is his pitiful Inside Shot

Ive done hard yards on defense with the later 2, which has slowed down their overall skill increases

Trying to make a 206CM guy with pitiful OD into a SF is a brave, brave task. Good luck on that one.

Pfft please...

First ball four.

Second ball four.

You get the idea.

Put on 67 from 4.3 overs with Joachim to close out the innings.

Brave or stupid?

Look given I now have the needs of 2 other SF trainees (188cm and a 201cm) to consider, I believe he will end up being more af an Inside Small Forward or PowerForward in 4 or so seasons time.

For my ultimate team balance there is nothing wrong with him becoming a Power Forward

He is now up to Proficient in Outside Defence and ideally Id like him to get to about 14 in that skill, and at least up to 11 or possibly12 by the end of this season

It has come at a cost though, his 7 pops in outside Defense in 2 seasons, has slowed down his overall skill increases, from memory I think he has only had the 18 pops in 2 seasons, but he has become very well balanced.

His training has comprised mostly of OD with an occassional week here and there on Passing, Jump Range, Inside D and Rebounding.

Looking forward to about 3 seasons time when I can train them (the 3 of them) in Driving and Jump Shot, which will certainly give my team a bit more flexibility and venom.

At some stage I need to start giving them some Inside Shot as well

A bit sad to say this, but its pretty obvious despite the best efforts of a few, our leagues forum is not the same without VIOS.

We desperately need someone to strip down and attempt to write a VIOS style "Pants Down Review" on the newcomers.

Vipers and Avalon Jets both got taken down by new comers to this league in the first round and I question as to whether this would have happenned if a "Pants Down Review" had been posted that might have alerted us all to the powers of these new teams

Personally I think its in everyones interest that Im not the one to take the clothes off and write such a piece of editorial genious.

Vipers, Windies , Linguists, Rangas, TAK, or Tantrums do any of you want to attempt to mimic the great moose?

No need to start a new thread, just post it in the current season 22 one.

Perhaps even go a step further and give such a "new season write up its own identity" and attempt to physco analyse all the Managers and out the Tankers and the Contenders and potential MVPs across the whole league.

Go on you can do it
