I thought I read somewhere that the effectiveness is like the following:

Lvl 1: 50%
Lvl 2: 75%
Lvl 3: 87,5%
Lvl 4: 93,75%
Lvl 5: 96,875%
Lvl 6: 98,4375%
Lvl 7: 99,21875%

So an increase in half the difference with the previous level. I don't know if it's accurate though, maybe it's just a simplified version to make it easier to understand it.

If those results are right, advanced (4) is the way to go. I believe those numbers are too broad to really clarify the differences between levels of trainers though. They wouldn't take into account elastic effect, cross trainings or age.

Rumor is that higher level trainers are shown to be more efficient as the players age.

I managed to pick up a cheap 30k exceptional (6) for 100k, so ill upload some trainer 6 results for future comparison.

Seriously why would you put those numbers up
Something you thought you read somewhere?
Exact numbers in raw data have already been quoted, lets go with that until someone actually knows something more accurate

You know why managers don't get to read raw data mostly? Because it can be hard to comprehend. I'm just putting it out there so people can quickly understand how it kinda works. Seeing that basic math is kinda hard for people here already, I don't think it's that bad to put a simplified version here.

I know there are more people out there with level 7 trainers that don't submit their results...
356 total weeks of training with level 7 trainers
and 53 weeks of those are from me....come on fellow Level 7 trainer owners...submit your training!!!
and believe me...I started with a level 4 in season 7 and quickly moved to a 5 and had a level 6 for at least 8 seasons and then one year ago(April 13, 2012), I got a level 7 trainer and haven't look back since...I have noticed an increase in training pops. I think if someone is trying to finish off an older trainee or got a high POT. young trainee..Level 7 is the way to go!!

I don't see a huge problem with that he did, it just adds more ideas to think about on the subject.

As it is, I also find the raw data extremely tough to read and differentiate plus there has to some sort of formula at work which the raw data isn't showing. I think there's zero chance that the difference between level 4 and 5 is as small as the data tells us and if they had more data, we'd start to see more seperation between those levels. To me it's incomplete.

The data does show a bigger increase with older players.

There is heaps of data for level 4s and a lot of level 5 but as it gets ot level 6 and 7 there is limited date.

Some people say you need at least level 5 to get a guy into a 21 NT side. In fact a number of those who run the sides say that. With me level 4 trainer always I have a 21 Nt player who started a bunch of games as a 20 year old.

If you have heaps of cash and focused only on training a couple of guys then I guess the higher levels may be worthwhile. But in general I can not see a lot of benefit for paying more for what seems such a small boost.

It is common knowledge, you will NOT be able to cap an MVP or HOF player with a level 4 trainer. I guess if people are training Per.Allstars, it's cool to have a level 4....but a per.allstar won't be making a NT team. For myself...I use a level 7 to smooth out the height pentalties you get from training a player that is 6'6 and 6'2.

Common Knowledge? I'd prefer seeing some actual evidence because that doesn't seem quite right. Especially since things such as height, starting skills, what position you're training him for, how balanced you make him will also effect how quickly he caps.
