it was more like 800k i think
i only had 7 real players, total salary was around 1.1 mil
that was only during the playoffs though
for most of the season i think my total salary was around 500 - 600k

ridiculous i know
but the satisfaction of beating Sid made it all worthwhile :)

Sorry if you feel attacked I did not mean it to come across that way. I don't want to name the person I thought you were the reincarnation of but lets just say it was someone very, very high profile, but obviously not Crazy Australian because you got out of Division IV.

I hope this scrutinising hasn't soured you I just wasnt a big fan of who I (wrongly) thought you were. You have done a great job. These days the number of teams that go IV, III, II is very limited and it wouldn't surprise me if you are the youngest division II team. You are obviously a very good manager so don't let the fact that we like to have a close look at anyone that does so well put you off. You should take it as a form of praise. You have done such a great job it really makes you stick out.

So what is your plan this season? Aim for promotion to the ABBL. Aim to compete and make the playoffs. Bank a big pile of money. Tank, bank a massive pile of money and relegate. Focus on the training of your three trainees. Keep your cards close to your chest and give nothing away.

I have made a move early in the ABBL and probably have the top or second top salaries. I plan to compete for the title but up here there are always a few others willing to take a shot and with Whitebeard out of the picture I imagine there will be lots who have been waiting their chance.

Well I've seen lots of teams running 8 man rosters, 5 starters + 3 decent backups to cover 5 spots.
I'd rather goto the abbl than go far in the cup, the million promo money is a lot more than i'd get from making it final 32/16 or whatever.
luckily i have a div4 team first up. ;)

Hey I promoted out of d2 with a starting 50k sg, 30k sf and 40k c. salaries are meaningless.

That's a fairly silly statement to make - all that means is the opponents you were facing were weak for you to be able to promote out of div 2 with a roster like that!

Let's consider just salaries and nothing else.
Do you think your starting line up of a 50k SG, 30k SF and 40k C would even stand a chance against either mine or Sid's team in Season 23 where our guards were 100k and our forwards / center were 200k?

Salaries don't mean everything, but they mean a hell of a lot!

well he does have a point, he was pointing out that, my statements that i made in my Div II noob write up, were based on assumptions made on players salaries.

but fk what am I supposed to use? The team's logo's and colours? actually i think i did do that once. so yer, in terms of noob divisional write ups.. salary will be used.

so yes, they dont mean everything...... sometimes they do mean something. but in general, at the end of the day, the little dog laughs and the dish runs away with the spoon, so yer.

promoting out of Div II with such a crapola team probably does mean the opposition was piss-weak. Us hardcore league II.3 can only dream about lining up that kind of team in a final.
hardcore Tak, hardcore. *fist-smash*... kabooooooooooom in slow motion... alright.

without being cocky, id have won against anyone in d2 last season. my team was well constructed, my 2 star players (who are better than anyone your team has ever featured) were taking most of the shots, maximizing their efficiency. the other ones did their job defensively and didnt take bad shots or turn the ball over thanks to their high passing level. now on to abbl, a little more training and ill rock it.

akuma wasnt in this division last season

and last season, yes, this division was crapola. we were all just sitting here letting Sid win, making sure we got rid of him ONCE AND FOR ALL.

so yes your right and i dont think akuma should take offence... because... well he wasnt here.

and no its not cocky. cocky would have been like saying 'Im going to be Buzzerbeaters BEST one day, and im going to nominate for NT manager and spam the forums and EVERYONE should vote for me and oh, btw can you pay me for supporter for 3 months, ill be ur best bud"
