Had an XL, unlimited toppings WagJag deal for 9 bucks. It was only right to load that baby up with toppings. Chicken, philly steak, cheddar/mozzarella blend, feta, pineapple, onion, bacon, sausage, tomato.

Hey guys thought I would throw out an idea for Naismith. Its a bit crazy and might not get any traction but I figured eh...
Ok the idea is a new rule for naismith. All league games must be played with one trainee from canada, who must be under 25.
if everyone were to do it, then the game would be 'even' and the list of canadian u21 and NT players should grow by a lot. Looking at the league there are a ton of experienced managers who I know would like to train more but can't to be competitive in the league. It would of course take 16 managers to agree which might be unlikely but I for one would be willing to try it. Rule won't apply to the cup and playoffs. Any takers?

I am already doing this.
Honestly I always struggled with the theory that you cant train players and be competitive.

Yeah I like it since some teams don't currently train at all
however:
Would be an advantage to teams with 24 year olds vs 20 year olds
as coach Therrien once said
Mens against Boys

I like this idea very much. However, there is absolutely no way to enforce it. Would take some good will.

We wouldn't be able to coordinate it and it's very unenforceable. But, it doesn't really achieve parity anyway. Only way that could happen is if we were restricted to 18-19 year olds (which would amazingly cool). That's super unrealistic due to the limited supply, though. Hell, there aren't close to enough potential senior NT players available for even the original 18-25 year old scenario to ever work. Let's be real, not many Naismith teams would be super interested in training players under perennial allstar who have no real ability to make the senior NT squad or be a quality role-player on their own club team.
For training, we just need to make sure MVP+ trainees get into the hands of quality managers -- very preferably Canadian ones.

Agreed with that. Problem is, with decreasing userbase, quality managers are mostly in Naismith. Besides, its really not impossible to be good (get into playoffs) if you are training. For that you just need to have 2 older trainees and can have one really young one for cup/scrimmages/easier league games.
Only true contenders (2-3 teams per season), that play in BBB truly need GS training.
And yeah, we are working on getting top draftees to best managers. Thought it went pretty decent this year.

I would normally be a huge fan of this, since I like the training aspect of the game, but I've spent the last 6-8 seasons preparing for a run in BBB in the next couple seasons. I think this would create a fairly level playing field, except for the teams wanting to compete in BBB.
If we wanted to implement it in a few seasons, I'd be up for it :)
Edit: And if you thought young Canadians with potential were expensive now...
