Not very well last time I promoted. One of the reasons I went down was because I was training three young players. Now, two seasons on, that shouldn't be such a problem but its very difficult. Two position training in weeks when you have less difficult games at least means you're not faced with playing a trainee for 48 minutes, but that's about all that helps.

Surely you can't train 3 youngsters if you want to be competitive in the league..

PS. Give my Barik back!!!!!

Nice to see this active in the past few days, the forum was so quiet last season. I checked at the end of the season and I think there were 19 (maybe 29) posts in here? That's the lowest for seasons. I was definitely part of the problem when I've been pretty active on the forums before. I'll attempt to get re-engaged! Maybe we needed new new blood.

My current team is a mess though...yet I still have the highest salary in the league :D idiot. I got promoted with high TSP / low salary players, went with that kind've method in Utopia too and now I'm well, not there.

I was trying to win the league last year but falling to 3rd (saving enth. for max playoff enth.) meant I sold a few oldbutgood-ies just before the playoffs (and was still somehow matching Zalgiris away with less enth. through 3 quarters!). Zalg knocked me out of the cup last year too (after OT), they should really be my current rival. Me vs LIDL has been uneventful recently I'm sure.

Training and winning is hard for sure. As someone else said it's about analysing the 3 games you've got in the week and picking which you want to win and managing enthusiasm well.
I won two cups while training at least two players each week a few seasons ago. They're now 24 and 26. The latter is definitely good enough to hold his own as a starter now, but even the 24year old is still a weak link (hey, that might be my dodgy training I guess). I trained 3 players most of last season, one 18 (sold him for 500k after buying for 2k, I'll take it..).

Great to be back and read all these posts! I was not expecting to promote and my team is in shambles.... however, I will try to win a few matches! My only advice is: choose your battles carefully and never underestimate anyone! Good luck to everyone!

(I'll post the s44 preview and poll soon, just a heads up so two of us don't do it at the same time!)
