Honestly, that wasnt meant offensive, and I apologize if you took it that way. I just wanted to point out that in sports pretty strange things happen all the time, and should be seen as "common sense" - in basketball, a player shooting 0-20 for the game before might still hit the decisive buzzerbeater and be the hero. Been there, seen this.
Three quarters of high scoring and one where they cannot hit a wide open layup is not so rare - so basically what I wanted to say was: engine is more realistic here than you might think.
For example:
in this years german playoffs, Alba Berlin was in complete control for three quarters in a home (!) game vs Deutsche Bank Skyliners Frankfurt, then went almost scoreless in the last quarter (5-24) to see the game lost (72-80).
