Minutes Massive Bol

Best team name I have seen for ages, I used to love watching him play for Golden State, sadly he died very young.

Manute wasn't it?

Oh wow is Minute Bol dead? He was one of the tallest NBA players.

Spudd Webb, one of the smallest players also played in that era. Instead of dribbling the ball under Bol's legs, Webb could literally just dribble under his legs LOL

Bol was 7 foot 7 from memory and was found in Africa and shown the game. his wife was 5 foot 6 and looked like a kid next to him.

Yeah and a quick check on wikipedia and there are some interesting facts. His great-grandfather, for example, was 7'10" and his parents and siblings were all 6'8" or taller! Impressive. He also holds the record for being the only NBA player to ever average more blocks than points per game over his career...

This son of his needs to play NBA - just for the name:

"One of his sons with Ajok, Bol Bol, was a 6 ft 5 in (1.96 m) tall 7th grader as of October 2012 and considered one of the better basketball prospects of his class."

Not quite, about 6'0" actually and my mum was short but she was a sprinter who broke some (local) records in her day. You can imagine how dominant I was as a 6'5" year eight and how bad I was by year 12 when I was still 6'5 1/2" and only had inside skills and all atrocious outside skills. Took years to catch up, it is much better to start short and have a late growth spurt.
