Well the team rating is based on the weightings of skills for each position and the skills of each player.

The player Trikster wrote the code, which basically takes a set of weightings and then decides which combination of players gets the best score.

To put the individual weightings in here would take too much space.

The point of this is to show new players how to best set their lineups.

I may at some stage allow for customised weightings that allow individuals to save them and allow them for public scrutiny. But currently I dont really have the time to do this.

I have updated the weightings page (http://www.bb-stats.org/weightings.php5) so now it has the weightings I used in the "JudgeNik v2" weightings on the team page (http://www.bb-stats.org/team.php5).

The suggested lineups are fascinating -- they are in some key ways quite, quite different from my standard lineup. Any guidance you can offer about the logic behind the lineups would be most appreciated. Thanks for all the work.

My favorite lineup is except, for 1 scrub, excatly the same as Trixers weightings suggests.. hmm.. smart guy ;)
And your v2 is very similar to the lineup I most often use for training. Strange and fascinating that it gives a higher power score.

Hassan Donnelly:
Look in the Weightings(http://www.bb-stats.org/weightings.php5) page for the weightings of each skill (in the Odds Ratio section)

Svett Sleik:
The power scores currently are not related when comparing two different weightings schemes. I am revising that now ;)

Josef Ka:
It will be very interesting to see how helpful these can be.
It would be very interesting to see people create their own weightings and see how other people rate them etc.
I just wish I had the time to do all the programming behind it.

Small update:

I have now made the scores a bit more comparable. They are the percentages of total points achievable for each weighting.

This does not necessarily mean a higher power score from one rating is the better choice because the weighting itself could be unbalanced.

However, they are definitely interesting to investigate.

using similar weights and then the age and potential are added in as big influences on scores
