and you play significantly less of them. we're talking the difference between playing a 19 yr old 20 times instead of 10 in his U21 career. Are 10 NT games going to add up to half a level of XP?

I'm going to surprise you and say probably yes, they might.

So what's being said in the forums is wrong. But could you tell me what influence has experience in the game? Because I don't know exactly what it does

Experience basically helps a player improve his shot selection, decrease turnovers, and generally play better overall.

(789816) had a fantastic 4th quarter in our Americas semifinal, and that's down to experience, in my opinion.

Well, for half a level of xp, I think I'd consider thinking again. It might well be worth playing the best 19 yr olds and getting stuffed instead of beat, if we're genuinely non-competitive this season. It's a hard sell to the managers of the 21 year old players you are ignoring though.

i know elmacca, that is why I said I would try to do both things...

However, the U21 year olds, especially the 21 year olds look in a not to good state, not saying they have been trained badly etc, I am just comparing them with the other countries and to what my 21 year old ones looked like last season.

That is exactly what I ment, why not get stuffed and work on the future players when we dont stand a chance now?

If we win 3 games this campaign, I think we did great... If we win 4, we absolutely over achieved...

This is a bit depressing... (10815779)

A first round draft pick, 18 years old with a wage of over $5k and good prospects. He gets sold by the division IV team which drafted him for $820,000, and is almost immediately 'retired' from the game. WTF?

people called me negative and paranoia (wrong word, not sure what else to use) when I said the U21 team is in a very very bad state, this player isnt an exception, I have seen MVP´s with over 5.5k salary getting retired. This is for the last few seasons. I will be on a holiday soon and when I get back I will contact the coaches off every single player that is drafted within the last 2 seasons, that isnt older than 19 and that could be a potential U21 player to ask them whether the player is to be trained and whether he needs advice on how to devolope him...

i had a closer look at this. this looks very dodgy, i thought the player was retired due to other team going bot, but this doesnt seem to be the case??? Who would pay 800k for a player and than fire him within a week?

Please do not discuss cheating allegations on the forums.

The player in question was on a team that became ownerless.

JuicePats, I appreciate that we can't discuss 'cheating allegations' on the forum. I didn't realise we were doing so, to be honest, because I didn't approach the situation from that point of view, rather from having had the player bookmarked and then been amazed to see him listed as retired. The England U21 squad has really lost out here, seeing a player with really great potential just disappear from the game. The team who sold the player still exists, but because the team buying him has gone bot we've just lost him forever. That's bitterly disappointing.

I think if this is the result of a GM intervention, perhaps the transfer itself should be reversed or the player put up on the market again so that a legitimate manager can buy him?
