Ugh. So close.
Do you mind if I ask you a question or two via BB mail?

close loss to Japan. Kinda surprized there. HCA is powerfull for teams, but i wasn't excepting a loss here. Still, doesn't change a lot. Just take care of bussiness home against Latvia and Shqipëria and you should be on your way to the consolation KO stages. I'd try to get those 5 victories before playing Panama.

unless Panama decide to use up there enthusiasm before your game, i wouldn't want to go to Panama, with them CTing ( they are out of the tourney anyhow) and having to expect a win while playing an away game and playing with less intensity than they are. Panama might not be the strongest team around, but i wouldn't underestimate them when they play on their hometurf. It's fun to see that some of the U21 players of Englands U21 first european qualification team back in season 18 followed up by a good season 19 team are starting to come forth for your NT

Watching it, I thought Japan was going to win by about 15... but it got VERY close at the end!

Good win for us. Very small nation, but some of us are making a really concerted effort to train up some talent.
G'luck for the rest of your games!

In a complete copy of Morwood's great U21 post I'll be listing some minimum skill requirements for NT players as well.

Note: These are pretty much minimums, if your player just hits the minimum in every skill they probably won't be making the team. I'll only be noting primary type skills, but more secondaries are always appreciated and can make up for holes at other skills in some cases. Also GS is always important, so don't you forget it!

Point Guards
JS: 15 JR: 12
OD: 17 HA: 14
DR: 14 PA: 15

Shooting Guards
JS: 17 JR: 13
OD: 17 HA: 14
DR: 14 PA: 12

Small Forwards(SFs can have a great deal of variation-so this is probably the roughest guide of all)
JS: 15 JR: 10
OD: 13 HA: 12
DR: 12 PA: 10
IS: 12 ID: 12
RB: 10

Power Forwards
JS: 10
OD: 7 HA: 7
DR: 7 PA: 7
IS: 16 ID: 16
RB: 15

Centers
JS: 7
OD: 5 HA: 5
DR: 5 PA: 5
IS: 17 ID: 16
RB: 16

that SF gets killed, you know.

The D is nowhere near enough. If you're going 13/13 OD/ID, he better be a scoring machine.

I appreciate they are minimum values but I think they are too minimum!

A guy like that would probably be on the team(he may not play in certain offenses) but it would take a very dedicated manager to build such a player, as their own team would have to be built in a very specific way to use him effectively.

Yeah the double minimum for SF kinda killed that, I may split that into inside/outside oriented SFs. Currently is has the minimum outside skills for an inside SF and the minimum inside skills for an outside SF.

yeah, you'd probably need someone like Austin at the 5.

Agghhh

And I thought the other one hurt :(

But looking at the standings we should still be alive to advance, but we'll need to win our last two to have a shot.
