*was* sitting on a bit of cash - I bought another English big earlier this week. They ain't cheap.

Unless I can shift Shelden for a decent sum at the end of next week, my cards are played.

So, I pick whichever team cheats, sorry, hires a monster for the final. Although it should be noted that even against a monster in last season's final that my guys stayed right in the game until foul trouble in the 4th quarter (caused by said monster, admittedly) left me out of bigs and uncompetitive for the last eight minutes or so.

If I do shift Shelden for what I paid for him, and get to the final, then maybe I have a few options.

At the end of the day though, my top priority is getting home advantage in the playoffs. A third tournament win will have to play second fiddle to my league ambitions.

I wouldn't underestimate any of the EBBL teams still in it, even little Mikitos really. Doubt anyone except Tata has the confidence to take a decent shot at Tigers in the league yet so the Cup is the best bet for most of us.

Not to mention that it only takes 500k or so of tactical investment to elicit tales of woe like this beaut:

Well, apart from the fact I managed to make a monumental screw up for my squad tonight, my coach was completely incompetent and I picked up an injury early on, I think that went quite well.

Anyway, as people have said before, I couldn't rule any of the EBBL teams out and if someone is willing to splash out on a monster then that could make the difference (although I do think Tata comfortably have the strongest squad as things stand). I personally have no intention (as things stand) on doing so, my finances are ticking along nicely and i'm in dire need of a quality SF.

Best of luck to everyone who remains and i'm sure whoever takes it will be thoroughly deserving.
