But still, the rule would work to prevent any serious abuse. More than that, it'd make the game more interesting. I'm not concerned at all about past winners and their practices.

That is a bad rule. What if the manager is one of the four active Tunisian teams and also managing the Tunisia U21 team and actually knows what they are doing and trained his rookies and could easily have three of the top 16 U21 players.

I think the rule should be clearly only for extreme circumstances where it can be proven that the manager is sabotaging the team they are supposed to be managing.

This should NOT include:
Forgetting to set a lineup
Forgetting to organise a scrimmage
Using a poor tactic
having some weak players on the team (could be development players or potential free agents)

But it should include:
Putting their own players onto the team that do not deserve to be there (not even close)
Forefitting multiple games
Clearly having a sub-optimal roster with no good reason (a good reason includes clearing out the 21s late in the season and experimenting with the 19s and 20s) but playing $3k players when there are $20k ones available

It removes any subjective judgement from the analysis and makes it something that could be coded into the game. The rule just as easily could be two players. Sure, there's a balancing act between arbitrariness and subjectiveness. Admittedly, I wasn't considering nations that have only a handful of teams. Perhaps there are more of those than I thought. Likewise, that might get the four Tunisian managers to talk some friends into joining. I still think the bigger issue is NT managers giving their club teams an unfair advantage. NT tournaments are, to me, just a sideshow.

But many take NT seriously. Some top teams sacrifice club glory for their NT. Many managers realize that they'll never win B3 or make top division and try to make an impact by training a top notch player.
As far as your rule, it is ridiculous, nearly to Wolph levels. The best players should be on the NT regardless off their club. If one club has 3 or 4 players of same race that are NT worthy, then they should all be able to be on NT. Like I said before, it will be obvious when there is NT or U21 abuse.

I don't have any idea who Wolph is, but if the rule is ridiculous, you haven't demonstrated it. That some clubs see their purpose as training a single top player lends support to the rule, if anything. That such a marketing bonus is given for NT players, it does become an unfair advantage if a manager is calling several of his own players, regardless of the skill level. It might be obvious now when there is NT abuse, but it's also clear that a better rule would prevent abuse before it happens.

Wolph is this User from Japan who often has radical suggestions to problems. Hes also really stubborn.
Your intent isn't bad but a rule that punishes those who may not be attempting to cheat is a ridiculous rule. If a manager buys 3 NT/U21 caliber players to train for his country, its ridiculous to punish him.
Identifying extreme cases of those who add their scrub players on a national team is easy.Once identified, you release/ban the offending manager. No need for a dumb rule.

Rules are generaly much more powerful if they end with a full stop instead of a comma ;). I wouldn't even dare to predict who all would be jailed/fined/whatever if the world's laws would have solely full stops and 99% less endless paperwork created by commas hehe.

Luckely we have the rule numer 13 in the ToS.

Just reading through this thread, I don't think its really cheating technically what the Lithuanian guy did, I don't think they should ban him or anything like that, remove him yeah sure why not. Obviously a lot of people voted in the election so people care, a majority of the people didn't vote for this guy and he obviously entered as a goof, the first two people that won the election got banned. This guy probably logged on one day and was as surprised as you guys.

They do teach English in Australia? Exciting, never met an Aussie speaking English in my life so far .


Its taught as a foreign language, like Japanese or Mandarin.

I am going back to Lithuanian problem.. So we now have new elections, and this manager who was kicked out of our U21, has registered as a candidate for NT..
I am suggesting that there should be a rule that if someone has been removed from U21 or NT coaching duties, he couldn't participate in any elections as a candidate..
