So going into my last game.
I had the better player at every position.
I had the better game shape.
I played CT.
He played TIE.
The only thing not in my favor was that I was on the road..

...and yet I lose... the BB curse

Wow. With all of that being said, what did you see in his team that made you want to CT?

Hi SammyO, I think that is the first time an opponent has crunched me at my place in 20 seasons. All of us do things a bit differently, but I always value my enthusiasm very highly—and it's usually at least 9 or 10. I question just a little bit whether you have better players at every position:-)

I think for the first time since I started this game, I am going to rage quit. AAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

You can't rage quit, you ran FULL COURT PRESS...that hasn't worked since Division 5!

And Dog River may not be high in standing buts he is still a VERY good team. Only reason you had better ratings is due to him TIE and you going CT, not because of having a better roster. Having a higher salaried player doesn't make them better. I'll give you a prime example.

The injury I suffered was Boris Kunchev who only makes $16K and yet he is the back bone to my entire team. He keeps me at a lower payroll while shooting around 50% from the field, 4 rebs, 4 assists coming off the bench. I challenge anyone's PG-SF to shoot at a high percentage the way he does while defending well and contributing on the glass. So you can't just look at salary, each player is built for a specific type of offense.

That I think was overexuberant scouting. But if you came across a game such as this where a FCP and a CT led to this type of win over Pappy, how could you not follow that strategy? ;)

Not the backbone of my team lol. Shooting 2-32 in league play for a healthy 6.25 FG% in 113 minutes. However averaging nearly 5 boards and a little over 3 assists a game for his 11K per week salary. My team might actually be kind of decent if I wasnt so hell bent on playing this guy. Demotion penalty is a kick in the balls on a weekly basis.

lol.
River Dogs I was not trying to be argumentative, was just laying out my thought process.
And I understand having a higher salary does not guarantee that is a better player.
--But even so, I had a higher salary player at every position...and my bench was much better.

Just looking at all the parts to the equation. The only thing you had over me was HCA. I was just surprised to lose because I really wanted to win that game...thus my CT.

There are some odd games here and there. It happens.

Look again guys I did not CT him, he CT'ed me. And to get here in this league I think I might know a thing or two about how it works. I've been here more than a season or 2

If you look at the game I was referring to, you'll see just how non-serious my post was.
