That works in the 2 directions. Buying is expensive but selling is also very interesting, isn't it? ;)

Indeed, and apparently i'm not the only one who's trying to take advantage of it, right? ;)

someone is ignoring the improved TPE... carefull Joe, you are treading a pretty thin line there

the new TPE has given a much better estimate for player between 18-32y olds (after 32y olds it gets a bitt dicey, but between those ages the TPE's are pretty spot on.) i've seen some pretty harsh fines been given out.

(and for the record, i won't be comming near any of the U21 or NT staffmembers. i consider them to be to close for neutral judgement & thus hand those cases off to other GM's)

That sounds like threat and I don't like that.

I won't discuss a player's price over here, but if your "improved" TPE values a 116 TSP 30-yos between 1.9 and 1.95 M it's just broken, or the only sale within those range was just pure luck for the buyer.

Today you get mediocre or overaged players between 4 and 5 M. If you want premium stuff it's all above 6M, and yet again you face some serious competition for signing.

That being said, I wouldn't buy at this price, but that's my business.

I'm currently trying to find an outside player, the one Joe put on the transfer list is too old for me but 4M is a good price, I don't think it's too expensive. (maybe not 4M but surely > 3M)

And I've got an outside player of the same age, little less stronger than Wan but with a low-cost salary. TPE say btwn 1,4M & 1,6M! Funny!

This kind of low-cost salary player is undervalued now by TPE. But I know I will never find those kind of player with that age for less than 2 Millions.

Oh and Q has sold Carlos Dito, not much stronger, maybe even less strong (only Q can answer) but 34 year old for 1.7M!!! And my player, 4 year less deserves only 2M? Joke!!!

Dito had more passing but less inside skills. I agree with Joe, he bought WWC 4.2m at the end of May this year and is only 30 so i dont see any reason why Joe would stand a single chance to get fined. And I agree with Dartreb and mplume, I wouldn't pay 4m for him (nor would I have bought Dito at age 34 for 1.7m) Unfortunately we have to suck it up cause that's the reality of the market.

It's a fact: a lot of teams have a lot of money, but no player to buy. The problem is not especially the level of the players on the maket, but the number of them.

Agreed - that's in fact the point I stated earlier this week:

The simple fact that there are less managers means there are less players trained and it then becomes the normal law of supply and demand on the market.

Indeed, like a snake eating its own tail, less managers => less good trained players => increased prices => less motivation ...

Why less motivations?

Guys what you don't understand it's that inflation is good for those who play in top division with high TV revenues.

Try to put yourself in the skin of a new team. Think about it few seconds. To build a top team with a good stadium, is it faster when the cost of the player is low or high?

Few seasons ago, I got a plan, earn 12 millions and then win the BBBL. In my initial plan, I would had been champion of BBBL last season. With inflation, I was only trying to promote in BBBL! I've earned way more than 12M, and I'm not even sure to be champion one day!

Trust me, inflation is good for you (and now I can say for us because I'm part of the top league). Maybe it's now difficult to renew our team but in same time, it's far more difficult to build a top team from nothing.

And I'm not complaining too much because I was able to build two consecutives good trainers at an affordable price. Now those times are past and so you can't anymore train 2 players during 10 seasons for cheap (which reduced the cost of building a top-team)...
