FT% didn't change. And they shouldn't (but that belongs to suggestions, there are threads about it.

In Spain there are several reports of teams claiming about low OD ratings, and they are teams from different leagues (from I to IV). The only rating affected is the OD defense and not for example rebound or ID which should have a similar behaviour with regard to enthusiasm/HCA.

It looks like a bug, and some users also reported that some bad players showed incredibly good shot %, against good opponents.

Very enlightening to report that my team, normally pretty decent rebounding team, scrimmaged tonight and gave up 30+ offensive boards—this with a sensational and a prolific rebounder in the lineup some, if not most, of the time. Admittedly, we played a 3-2 but it was still a little out of hand IMO...Pappy

I don't know about the new game engine...

TO differential seemed really drastic; my team forced 33TOs (24stls) with normal defense, even though my team normally averages opposing TO ~7-9 with 4 stls. It seems overwhelming.

I'm also not convinced that assist numbers need to be boosted - the team averages for my league (USA IV.9) is 15.8 apg - 22.9 apg. The NBA range is 17.4 - 24.7... and remember, I'm in USA IV. Although, I guess my % of FGM assisted during this scrim is pretty on par with NBA stats. (12705262) for details.

I guess I would prefer to see a difference in even one level of a skill such as passing be more pronounced, rather than to see numbers being inflated across the board (ie. respectable passing produces same effects as now, but each level above that increases assist number / shot quality more than currently)

My perimeter defense sucked tonight, and so did my opponent's (12704142). My team is usually considerably better than this, since I work on outside D.

The ratings of my starting SG seemed a bit low considering he scored 40+ points on 19-39 shooting...rating was 4

The other team had alot of offensive rebounds for being in Div V (I am div IV)...my offensive rebounds were a bit high, but then again I've hit those numbers previously...

Finally, it WAS interesting to see players getting guarded by different positions even though I was playing man-to-man...I kind of liked it though =)

A couple of things I noticed in my scrimmage. (12705278)

1. Oddly low ratings on OD. I suspect that the 2-3 zone has something to do with it, but even so the change seems somewhat drastic.

2. The game was unusually high scoring. This seems to have had a lot to do with the low OD ratings.

I must say that I noted the exact same thing. Played with the best players and scored a significantly lower OD rating than the game before where i played with the same players (inept(low) compared to medium (med) and in the last case I was even playing 2-3). And also, as a result a very high scoring game! If the phoenix suns are the NBA benchmark than I must say the new engine works great:)
