LOL.

"This summer the Heat have now added Beasley and Greg Oden, the two biggest draft busts of the past decade". Beasley only got signed for the training camp so far I think, so he can still get cut. Probably has to lay off the weed for the next 2 months lol.

Its amazing how successful this pothead is... everyone says he is a bust and a failure.

But he keeps getting paid millions for smoking the good stuff. And now he has a chance to win a ring. Which he will auction off you fund his weed habit when his millions run out. But millions can buy a lot of weed so he is set for life.

I highly doubt he'll be getting paid a lot in Miami, despite being picked 2nd overall... He's on a $1m contract which is the minimum for "Veterans". But you're right, he'll have enough for a lifetime of pot smoking and munchy munching.

This summer the Heat have now added Beasley and Greg Oden, the two biggest draft busts of the past decade.

I take your Beasley and Oden and raise them Kwame Brown, Darko Milicic and Adam Morrison.

Oden was a great player just wrecked by injuries but Portland still got some use out of him. Beasley is a knucklehead but he has elite skills still and if Miami can keep him off the grass (and if anyone can Riley, LeBron, Wade, Haslem and Allen can) he will be an amazing pickup.

To paraphrase Stephen A Smith about Kwame Brown, he has no heart, no passion no nothing, he can't play, he has small hands, he can't catch or shoot, he can't move, he doesn't want the ball, he is scared to rebound. A bone-fide scrub. Bust. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PP4RT-vv-o

Darko Milicic played well exactly one time in his entire life which was the time Detroit scouted him, it is a fantastic story, he couldn't miss, he moved like the second coming of Hakeem, he blocked his man and rebounded everything. But the fact is he is a marginal player useful as a reserve behind someone good that also took several seasons to even develop into his inept level of skill.

Adam Morrison can't pass, can't shoot if guarded at all and can't defend a girl scout. Only the Charlotte Bobcats would draft such a scrub #3. 2006 draft and out of the league by 2009-10 partially due to his career 37% shooting which was supposed to be his one strength.

Haha micky that got me laughing !
And to whoever said something about Beasley not getting paid much. With PHX he got something like 6 mil per season. And then they BOUGHT him out using the amnesty which I'm pretty sure is at least 5 mil and now he's being paid at least 1 mil per year. So in other words, for being shit he just earned himself a good 6 mil in a season. Its rubbish how the amnesty works but I can see why it's put there.

The players have a union like any other employee. Once they sign a contract they are entitled to get paid even if it turns out the team made a big mistake and overpaid them, that is the team's fault. The amnesty is a win-win. The team can duck the luxury tax and the players can get out of a situation where they were not achieving and hopefully go to another team where they will be a better fit. The amnesty is far from rubbish it is a great mechanism that helps both teams and players.
