This summer the Heat have now added Beasley and Greg Oden, the two biggest draft busts of the past decade.
I take your Beasley and Oden and raise them Kwame Brown, Darko Milicic and Adam Morrison.
Oden was a great player just wrecked by injuries but Portland still got some use out of him. Beasley is a knucklehead but he has elite skills still and if Miami can keep him off the grass (and if anyone can Riley, LeBron, Wade, Haslem and Allen can) he will be an amazing pickup.
To paraphrase Stephen A Smith about Kwame Brown, he has no heart, no passion no nothing, he can't play, he has small hands, he can't catch or shoot, he can't move, he doesn't want the ball, he is scared to rebound. A bone-fide scrub. Bust.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PP4RT-vv-oDarko Milicic played well exactly one time in his entire life which was the time Detroit scouted him, it is a fantastic story, he couldn't miss, he moved like the second coming of Hakeem, he blocked his man and rebounded everything. But the fact is he is a marginal player useful as a reserve behind someone good that also took several seasons to even develop into his inept level of skill.
Adam Morrison can't pass, can't shoot if guarded at all and can't defend a girl scout. Only the Charlotte Bobcats would draft such a scrub #3. 2006 draft and out of the league by 2009-10 partially due to his career 37% shooting which was supposed to be his one strength.
