hmmmmm im going to go with um what?
found this whole thread quite interesting
i can see both sides of the argument and eing new here i guess ill ask
how things have changed.
are the players that did day trading now the power house teams for every league?
did anyone that didnt do day trading make it very far? end up a power house them selves?
is day trading still possible? anyone got the balls to admit there still daytrading and if its working or not?
did anyones opinon change on day trading?
very interesting thread and while i agree that players should not be punished for skills in the economy side of managing a teamit did not make much sense to be able to buy a player then sell him straight a way with no impact on anything

I love Skills trading... I buy a player on thursday who already has minutes and a good skill level in the thing I am training that Friday.. When he gets his training pop on Friday, make sure you had already put him in the bin to come off on Sunday.. It is the easiest way to make extra cash.. I was thrown in the top league last year and stayed up with no bonuses.. the 4 teams that got promoted got a million dollars.. not fair..so, I made like 550,000 in 3 weeks skills trading... peace

Wow what a truly entertaining topic. But seriously folks, at the end of the day it matters not how good you are, its how you got there. If you want to make millions on the tl and keep the best few for yourself, have at er', if you want to work the draft system and build a champion with some help from the tl, what really is the difference???? time. I'm willing to wait a few seasons and develop some of my talent for keeps but really who hasnt looked at a player and thought i can make some money if i sell him. I mean if anybody has bought a player from the tl and then sold one (same or not) has in a way been a dt. I might not make a profit but i will be looking to lessen the overall cost of my upgrade. this is a sim game yes but lets face it no matter what we do as humans money always makes it into debates. Lets just build our teams the way we want and if you need that mvp pf save up for him. dont hate bill gates for selling you a computer at $1000 he paid some 12 yo kid in bangladesh $0.35 to build. Be mad at yourself for not going to bangladesh and building one yourself.

Hi guys
I just want to share how an other sport management game has solved the day trading issue, which was leading to inflated selling value of player and create for some players the temptation to cheat to be able to afford some nice players.
1- The revenue made by selling a player is decreased based onthe niumber of weeks he is in the team, like BB now.
2- The seller must also pay 10% of the selling price if the player is sold or the initial price offer if the player is not sold.
3- Auction time : 1 week minimum.
With this system, initial price has turned down to realistic levels (no more 1 Million for a 18 yo dude), day trading is really more risky (if you do not resell the player qiuck enough and fail 2 or 3 time in trying to sell him, you loose cash). Almost no cheat anymore because average player are sold for realstic price and not half a million for a 5k player of 25yo.
Now only skill trading but that is part of the game, and there the coach take also some risk (no up in the first week, injuries during game ...)

I couldn:t figure out how to reply to this thread without replaying to a person individual.
I am a new player in Japan and on a crappy PC right now.
Just trustrated because there is so much flashing junk it totally tweeks out this PC and I cant hardly read any menus in this game they all get distorted out.
Is there a less clunky UI for this game? It might be a nice option, like a no graphics text based UI. IF you can code that game engine it take you about 2 minutes to make a UI for this thing with out all the fancy stuff.
Anyway day trading is a rich get richer poor get poorer situation.
If people want a realistic BBall manager game that keeps all old and new players on an even playing ground-
A-realistic roster size limit and Salary cap. Instead of 5-20 players, something more like 8-15.
ALL teams should have a base revenue to cover very close to the salary cap.
B-All players drafted and all released players available for signing. When you join the game you should get to build a team from the waiver wire/by drafting available players.
C- Make the game about popularity not money. Teams would earn fans by winning games.
Right now the money and the winning thing are both there, which is cool, but money is subject to capitalism in the current transfer system. Capitalism is all about disparity. The longer the system exists the more disparity.
I am very new to this game and the idea of buying players from other teams just seemed weird to me.
There should be a trade market where you are trading talent type A for Talent type B and matching up their salaries. You have begginer teams where all the players make 2-3k a game and veteran players paying their guys 30k a game and stuff like that. Dont make any sense unless you expect new guys to DT their way into competition. From what I see it looks like It takes like 3 months to get your money back from building up your arena and start turning profit. Where you gonna get that money.
I just started and already hit like 16 transfers so I:m down to 76% sales.
Are you guys telling me I should play this game for 3 years to catch up with DTers, or should I figure out how to get some money now so that this game doesnt become something I wish I never even started playing- a waste of time. Seriously if I can only beat the computer its not a game worth playing IMO. Starting the game with a tiny arena crap players and about 300K when the only players worth a dam are all costing over 3million......
WHere are the rules for how much the fees/taxes are. 76% is already crimped my style, I want to know what I:m looking at for fees if I keep trading. Maybe Ill stop now and ask the admins to delete my team.

It is not in the rules section. ALl the rules section says is that the fees are based on how many transfers in last 14 weeks and how long player has been on your team.
It DOES NOT say what the %s are. It doesnt say 20% penalty for new player on your team or 4% penatly for X number of transfers in last 14 weeks. It does not state X% for every X# of transfers per last 14 weeks.
Is this information listed anywhere or is it just another part of the system that favors veteran players over noobs.
There is a difference between taking the structure of a system and divising a system/strategy to beat it and being at the top of a game just because you've been playing longer than everyone else.
Anyway I'm hoping that stratigical methods of getting into competition wont be squashed out. IF this game is about whoever has been playing it the longest, that would suck.
