Not quite, about 6'0" actually and my mum was short but she was a sprinter who broke some (local) records in her day. You can imagine how dominant I was as a 6'5" year eight and how bad I was by year 12 when I was still 6'5 1/2" and only had inside skills and all atrocious outside skills. Took years to catch up, it is much better to start short and have a late growth spurt.

they always say that NBa is a Big mans game, but look at the legends: Muggsy Bogues, Spudd Webb, Chris Paul, Tony Parker, ...

plenty of little men who had major inmpacts.

And Manute Boll died in 2010 no?

When I played Under 16s (you were not allowed to turn 16 that year) for Parramatta in the Sydney Conference we had the smallest side with only 2 players 6'2 me and one other guy who both were in the NSW Squad as Guards. Every other side had guys 6'8+ while one side had 5 guys 6'7 or more with the biggest guy being 6'11 as a 15 year old.

We had one move. Fast break. Did well most the time coming 4th in comp and State Championships.

I was 6'2 before I was 13. My Dad was 6'2 not long after turning 11. Was state 100m and long jump champ for a couple of years until others grew a little.

That is a big achievement. I guess I never had to play on a team with no height cause there was always at least me but I was happiest when I was able to be with other big guys and play SF. I remember one team where only two guys couldn't dunk, made for an intimidating warm up as loud crack after loud crack from the break away rings as we threw them down one after another.

haha. we were in trouble if we could not get the fast break. All I did that season was rebound and throw a pass done court. Think it was my lowest scoring season I had to that point by a mile.

19 years old, highest rating on the court on debut, and highest scorer on the court.

Go the wayne train.

No denying an absolutely brilliant debut an a very exciting prospect.

Be interested to sneak a peak at his skills one time, what do you hope to shape him into?
