So, you're running on a platform of your club team's success (despite having zero league games above division III when registering, and requiring THREE seasons and a 2.5M draft pick to get out of IV), and your organizational skills. Wouldn't you say it should matter to the voters, since YOU made your organizational skills part of your platform?

A $2.5 million draft pick?!?! That certainly helps.

$2.25 actually ;) I tried to get 2.5, he wouldn't budge!

I guess I'll pose a question along these lines to namssor and jason, then: how do you see the staff roles (not including scouts) changing with you in charge? How much are you comfortable delegating when it comes to actual game plan and roster selections? Although obviously you will have the final say, would you prefer to have defined staff roles or unstructured community involvement? What other roles beyond those that we currently have would you find useful?

I don't think I'd have defined staff roles, other than an assistant/international scout like I was to jfarb. I'd certainly offer that role to Jason first. I think all he's lacking to be a NT coach is at least a bit of NT experience, and this is the best way to get it. Beyond that, it would be mostly community involvement. The offsite is amazing with the large amount of interested managers. I'd consider the words of jfarb, wozz, coco, etc a bit more than the rest due to their prior NT experience, but I love hearing a million different angles to tactics/enthusiasm/callups. I would have no problem deferring to anyone if I agree that they have a better idea than myself.

As for new roles, I'd like to find some sort of advanced stats/metrics guy, that would be sweet and could provide a different take on things. There are already a decent amount of tools and scripts out there, I'd like to take advantage of these.

I think it was Azariah who was using it as somewhat of an insult. Namssor seemed to just be impressed that he got 2 mil on a rookie.

Check the Suggestions they are important

Yes, I brought it up. No, I wasn't using it as an insult. I just think it's pertinent information, especially since Jason chose to run on his club's record. While I certainly realize that no one can really "control for" when they're going to get a good draftee, I do think it's meaningful for someone who's looking at Jason's "five straight finals appearences" and "straight from IV to II" to consider what (if any) role they think the 2.25M draftee played in the latter. There are certainly plenty of examples of teams that squander a multi-million dollar draft pick, so it's not necessarily an indictment of someone's BB skill that they managed to turn a 2M+ payday into consecutive promotions.

Yeah I definitely wasn't insulting him. I was impressed you could get that much for a rookie these days. I noticed the dude who bought him for $2.5 mil sold him ONE MONTH later for $460k, haha. What a dope.

If I would have brought a piece of information like this up about Namssor, I would have been told it's a cheap shot or that I was trying to "smear".

While I don't think you were doing that, the post could have been construed as very negative....as with a lot of posts towards Jason.

The correct manager will help us win, the wrong one will doom our chances. See your team for an example of the latter.
