Just between you and me I didnt say what i might strategically do with the towel or what might be in it, "when I throw it"

Of the 16 remaining teams left in the cup after this Thursday nights game there will most probably be 5 ABBL team

Imangine this if you will,

2 of the games for the next round are ABBL teams versus other ABBL teams and for good measure the other remaining ABBL team gets to play Adams "high priced" guns.

Meanwhile I get to play a div 4 team ranked 308th.

Too big of an "IF"! Maybe instead of hoping for the dream draw, just do it regardless to whoever your opponent is just to prove the doubters wrong! ;)

Im not actually hoping for a dream draw as Im already having one. (6 rounds and no one ranked higher than 130 something)

Be nice if the dream draw Im already having, continues.

As for the doubters, I suspect many wouldnt have credentials as good as mine

I dont consider myself to be any where near as good of Manager as yourself though who I believe has taken "the art" to new levels, but for myself the bigger pictur is training and I dont really care for trying to prove people wrong

I think the thing is, is that unless ur in ABBL, and your in round 6+ of the cup, then you have probably had a 'dream' draw to get there.

Very few teams will go far in the cup beating teams better than them every week, or even a few times.

but its nice having a dream draw in the cup, i had one last season. was good :)

Look I tend to agree with you but ironically I was in the ABBL last season and whilst I might only be in div 2 this season, my roster is a helluva lot stronger now than last season

One extra factor that is hugh is that teams can sometimes have the advantage of a game in their week against a tanker so they can in effect just have two serious games in a week. On the other hand sometimes teams will have a game against a team they can't beat so can throw that one (the PD will hurt but they were going to lose anyway) and then go in hard in the cup. These are possible in the ABBL but more common in division II where there are generally a higher number of tankers although ABBL had about five teams full or semi-tanking last season due to the comfort of having Da Fat Boy Slim making the Big 8 teams not have to worry about the automatic relegation spot.
