Goodbye ;) see you in a season!

Don't beat up on Myopic Marauders, Star Fliers, Milwaukee Lethargy, and Inclement Southwest Sand Weather too badly...

Hopefully the same here, it's been a interesting experience and hope to be back. Sure didn't get any help in the draft - that really was a terrible waste of time. Good luck everyone, might see you in a cup game or two, you never know!

I've got a lot of issues with BB's draft system.

The problem with the draft in higher leagues, especially D1. Is that we can have an entire draft and there might not be a single player worth training. The minimum level of potential we need is far too high for what's available in the draft. Realistically, D3 and below are the only leagues where you'll have a broader range of potential's that will contribute for your team.

And if you manage to snag a player with the potential we need, often they'll just be untrainable from a piss poor allocation of skills. Like say Atrocious passing.

I don't see any reason that the draft should generate players any different for each level. I would assume that any player that was drafted pretty much from Div III and up would need multiple seasons of training to be any effective part of your team, but there shouldn't be any reason that the overall talent and potential of a Div 1 high level draft pick would be any different than that of a level 5. The way it appears to me at this point is that any scouting money spent after Div 4 is just a waste of income and shouldn't be spent.

I agree, I don't think the drafts should be tweaked depending on Division level.

I do think 19 year olds need a slight improvement across the board, that would open up the pool of available players greatly.

I just switched scouting investment to zero (i'm probably hte last to do so). I just spent 2 seasons at 1-2 points a week on that draft and just got a bunch of shite. nice starting skills and 2 potential. lol

I think this might be the worst draft I have ever seen.

There was one (?) player above perennial allstar potential, and he was a 19yo with a starting salary below 3k. I hope you're all jealous of my two 19yo perennial allstars with okay starting skills. Maybe I can get ~$100k back from selling them to offset the ~$300k I spent on scouting points.

Even with the #1 pick scouting is not worth it!

Also it seems like a no-brainer to me that 19yos should be able to start with Strong skills (not just free throw).

I don't remember exactly how much I had invested into scouting points, but I had the board pretty well opened up. All 3 of my results are up for sale. For some reason I imagine that I will end up firing all of them.
