if i were you, i prefer the one with 5* rating, 4* potential, A+, 19yr.

i also spent 40K every week this season and will be the 6th pick in draft, finally 22 out of 48 scouted twice.

which do you think is a better option?

Case 1
i) 5* rating, 3* potential, A-, 19yr
ii) 5* rating, 2* potential, A+, 19yr

Case 2
i) 5* rating, 2* potential, A-, 19yr
ii) 4* rating, 4* potential, B, 19yr
iii) 5* rating (scouted once x 8 players)

By the way, why below player's rating is quite low? Should i put him in higher priority?
--> 2* rating, 2* potential, D+, 19yr; 13/16 FG, 3/3 3FG, 12/14 FT, bad RB/AST/STL/BLK, but he scored 41 points in total.

I've got a question...here's my draft dilemma:
I've got 6 5*'s scouted.

19yo 5* / 4* potential / A rating
18yo 5* / 2* potential / A+ rating
4 5*'s with unscouted potential

is it strange to have a 5/2 with A+ and a 5/4 with an A? What exactly does that mean? Any advice?

I've been spending 40k

I have every player scouted with 23 scouted Twice!

I spent $10K a week on scouting, and I have 32 players scouted with 10 scouted twice. So for $420,000, you got to see 16 more star ratings and 13 more potentials than I did. Doesn't seem worth it to me. Just sayin'...

Its not strange because the grade rating relates to their current ability the same as star rating. Potential is separate. 2 potential wouldn't be good enough for me so i would have that guy fairly low. Close choice between unscouted and the 19 year old depends how lucky u feel.

although i agree with you the player does seem very good and would likely have a decent starting salary. If he wants he could spend part of a season training him till he caps his salary, remember 2 ball potential is either 6th man or starter so he can train him to about 15 or 20K depending on the potential. It all depends on what he wants.

Do you want a player you can train for a few seasons? Or one that you can train one or two seasons only and get to a fairly decent level?

Yeah i guess its hard to answer when people are asking would u choose this player over this other player. As you said it all depends on what you want from the draft which can be different to what someone else giving an opinion is after.

Ye he is DIV 3 USA and so maybe a better potential player would be better.

Tough choice man it all depends on what you want

Thanks for your advise Wallace...

Hhmmm... "5* rating, 2* potential, A+, 19yr" That prospect is worthless trust me don't go for him...
any prospect under 3 balls that are 19yrs old you should stay away from.

You want to get 18yr old's with 3-5 stars so you can train them up and profit off them.
If you have a 4 star prospect with 4-5 potential (18yrs old) they are better then the 5 stars 2-3 ball potential prospects
Because they are easier to train.

do you want to gamble or go with the information you have (players scouted twice).

If you want to go with the players scouted twice. here's how i would rate them/ edit them on your list.

#1 -- 5* rating, 3* potential, A-, 19yr
#2 -- 4* rating, 4* potential, B, 19yr (but honestly 4 star rating, and he's 19 that's not great at all)

I would gamble and put the "5* rating (scouted once x 8 players)" before every one ells because getting 5 star prospects with 2 potential is horrible especially when their 19! the younger the better! and even the "5* rating, 3* potential, A-, 19yr" guy has lack luster qualities... he's 19 for one with an A- grade rating but he's the best out of the ones you've showed me.

By the way... The way the players box scores look have nothing to do with how good a player their going to be...
The player who scored 41 pts you were talking about... he's a horrible player put him close to last on your list!
2* rating, 2* potential, D+ ... that's really bad don't he may have scored good but that doesn't mean anything so don't go by how the player dose according to his Box score go by (Star's/Grade/Potential/ and how old he is)

Good luck on draft day Wallace! Hope my advise could help you.

hi fella's,

got a question aswell here.

i scouted a guy with this info:

2 balls, D+, 18, 4 pot balls...

now usually, i take all the 1 and 2star guy's out, and i check them below.
after that, i take all 3 star guy's, who've been scouted twice, and don't have either a C+ or don't ahve 3 star rating, and i put them down aswell...

then i orden whatever i have left, first 18 year olds, then 19 year olds...

the question is, where do i fit this guy in? his boxscore:
SG 20 min played, 5-8 FG, 1-1 3FG, 1-1 FT, 1 OR, 4 TR, 3 Ast, 1 TO, 2 Stl, 2 BLK, 1 PF, 12p

his boxscore ain't bad at all... yet the only thing troubling me, is his 2 ball rating and D+ in skils rating...

any idea's what to do with a guy like that?

thx

Rev
