I think what you may be missing out on a little bit is the enthusiasm that many of the other countries have for their leagues.

Relatively speaking, the amount of enthusiam inside buzzerbeater japan is pathetic.

Think about the simplest signs.
1) Little to no true competition in the JBBL
2) A STUNNING lack of young talent being trained
3) The number of actual Japanese starters in the JBBL.

and of course

4) Lack of enthusiasm for Japan verses competitions.

We get, what 14 trainings a season, right? You gotta train fts. Some of us train stamina. Better yet, you can rearrange your training or set it so that you can fit it in with trying to be competitive in a scrimmage.

BB Japan hasnt been over 50 users pretty much since its inception. And a good part of that is the fact that the intercommunity relations are so far apart.

We take getting into the cup for granted, there are teams better than yours that dont even make it in the cup in probably as many as 25 countries. Maybe more.

We have guys trying to get 48 mins in cup games while going take it easy on the road. Then you have guys in the bigger countries who haven't even gotten a cup invite for consecutive seasons.

But the saddest part is that across the buzzerbeater community, people see the JBBL as a free ride. If you get on the forums a little bit, you will see that people have a hard time respecting your team as it is getting the money you get for a home game, when much much better teams in lower divisions struggle to get 350k for a home game.

To casually agree with Sharman is much the reason why there is such a lack of enthusiam in BB Japan.

Do some research and you will understand that Sharman is pretty much the problem with BB Japan. Not to pick a fight with Sharman, because im not looking to, but after 5 seasons (4 in the Jbbl), this league needs life.

This is possibly a very good reason why Sharman is going down...to shake things up a bit.

But you cant follow sharman's path anymore because they burn that bridge down. You have to systematically build your team and just get used to taking losses on sales. You might get over every so often, but everytime you get over, you will get burned trying to flip a player you cant sell.

Its alot tougher to catch up with Sharman than you think. The weapon is patience and guarded opportunism.

I think this is a bit disrespectful to the core managers that have stood the test of time here in the JBBL.

Dr. Fader is a stalwart and fiercely competitive manager as was Frankzi and the Big 8 for many seasons had some epic battles between them and its nice to see that Onigiri (brotherly rivalry) and Mizik will be providing continuous stiff competition from here on.

The Great 8 has been somewhat more competitive with a less vocal but no less competitive small wolf as well as acarl who we know from Hattrick has the pedigree and patience to succeed (and has stated clearly his intentions). Then theres the more vocal Yellow-cake & myself as well as yourself and lets not forget wolph who is becoming active across the forums.

You then have Kanazawa, Kuzu, Mafia etc, who have invested sensibly in roster and arena and will form a new tough level of opposition with just a couple of new additions. Just because they don't sing from the rooftops doesnt make them less enthusiastic or patriotic.

Maybe we just judge enthusiasm a different way - I think its more the fact we dont have the numbers and hopefully this will be addressed soon with the completion of the translation.
