ha i did think of this before soz about that!

If i do any research into it, ill start a new thread in the general forums.

I think Crazy-eye is taking it very much from a 'team-game-strategy vs other team-game-strategy perspective'

Which isnt wrong! Its totally applicable. But ill probably take more of an individual approach, and ignore strategy and opposition. For the time being anyways :)

I don7t think you'll find even one that has played more than 2 seasons and fouled out every single game. It's not that bad, you are exaggerating a bit.

Of course I am exaggerating, but I mean my guy is averaging like 12 fouls/48 minutes and he is far away from being in the top 1000 of this game, so I guess there are some players even worse like him, maybe you will find some of them on bot teams in lower leagues - if I find one I'll let you know.

holla!

I remember that Estonia had one of those guys in the NT. When our NT was still strong. He was a great defender, but he was always in foul trouble (yes you can be both). Still he was a regular starter in the NT.
It seems to me that you are just pissed off that you threw 750k away on a legend, that can't be effectivly trained using one match per week.

If you can't readily find this kind of player...maybe its not a problem.

Your guy is still young. I think you could make a spreadsheet/gamelog. Can you really show that he is getting that many fouls against equal compeititoin?

maybe you give of some prooves for your theorys?

Thats definitely one part of the equation, but I always commiserate managers that were unlucky to get those type of players. Although its more about the name "wasted", than the money in this case.

If a player has a weak skill you can do sthg about it, by training it and plugging the leak. if you got a fouling maschine you are screwed and have to live with that all the time. Thats why I think there should be an option to do something actively to get rid of the aggression.

thats your reply after you both said that Knecht over exagerrating in this example? The thing is still, that you can not do anything against foul prone players.

Also knecht example was averaging more then 6 fouls in 48 minute, which is different then fouling out every game ;) Because player who don't play foul games, could also average sometimes 8-9 fouls in 48min, which make it possible to play one game peacefully. And yes thats most likely exaggerating too, but making 4 fouls isn't that rare(even when you are the best defender on squad) playing fourty 8 minutes, and such an average let you foul out very often without any cure.

I think I was the first person in the thread who mentioned that improving a guy's d goes a long way to inhibiting their fouls. I looked at fouls per game from his rookie season to the present for the guy I bought who is a super fouler. The fact is that he still fouls at about the same rate. I was wrong about that with my guy. Somehow it seems like he isn't fouling as much anymore but the numbers say he is. Tonight he had 3 in 16 minutes. The most minutes he has ever played without fouling is 24.

I still play him, but generally as a backup, so I don't worry about it.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.
