His player, with the projection he supplied, would do ok. Not amazing like players of similar build, but If he was to become an awesome player, he'd need about 2-3 IS pops
A guard can become a potent scorer with lousy JS+JR if driving is very high and IS is at least 8. With the right offense(really anything but outside oriented) the player will not chuck ill-advised jump shots, and would wait for his shot; driving layups, or close range shots.
They are low salary players, that are tricky to defend, and unless the opposing guards have good ID, they will score almost as much as if they had 14 JS 10 JR, like the traditional U21 guard.
Truthfully I would have agreed with you, that such a player could not perform well, until I found out about USA Elite.
(23172) (36158055)All of their starters, with not a single one above 30k in salary, follow that high driving, decent IS, terrible shooting build, and they are winning in the toughest USA Div II conference, with a payroll of less than an average Div IV team. Those guards are scoring against 15 OD players, but take advantage of the lack of ID on them.
So my point being, a guard with sub 6/3 JS/JR can score, but needs a special, rare, build.
