Show me a div V or IV team with 15 OD and I'll say this player is crap and shouldn't be trained. He's not in div II dude. He might have gotten better players by the time he reaches your level and face 15 OD, unless he meets a big team in the cup.

Did I EVER said something about the playeR?

If his driving was increased significantly and his IS raised to respectable, then I believe he would be a very good LI PG. However in any other offense he would suffer, including low post because he would shoot too many shots from outside...

Players like that don't work on this game.

He will shot sometimes (can't pass because of the OD monsters) and will miss everything.

Players like that do work in this game.....

I probably could show you, a lot of players with good passing and low jumpshot do terrible games, but please show me a player that can work in those conditions.

His player, with the projection he supplied, would do ok. Not amazing like players of similar build, but If he was to become an awesome player, he'd need about 2-3 IS pops

A guard can become a potent scorer with lousy JS+JR if driving is very high and IS is at least 8. With the right offense(really anything but outside oriented) the player will not chuck ill-advised jump shots, and would wait for his shot; driving layups, or close range shots.
They are low salary players, that are tricky to defend, and unless the opposing guards have good ID, they will score almost as much as if they had 14 JS 10 JR, like the traditional U21 guard.

Truthfully I would have agreed with you, that such a player could not perform well, until I found out about USA Elite.(23172) (36158055)
All of their starters, with not a single one above 30k in salary, follow that high driving, decent IS, terrible shooting build, and they are winning in the toughest USA Div II conference, with a payroll of less than an average Div IV team. Those guards are scoring against 15 OD players, but take advantage of the lack of ID on them.

So my point being, a guard with sub 6/3 JS/JR can score, but needs a special, rare, build.

That team isn't winning because of the guards scoring, that many points, just look at that game, the point guard shot 3 three pointers and missed, and 4-12 isn't that special.
The other guard had a fluke to score that one 3 pointer.

He is doing pretty well with those guys with a lot of OD, even though I dislike that strategy, I give him props for being able to do very well on the USA leagues.

Hey Murl,

you can allways mail me about your player. I've just saw your thread incidentally.

But I guess everything had been allready written about your player. Unfortunately he's too old. You would need a whole season to bring Jump Shot- and range on an aceptable level. After that, you shoul increase his passing and defending skills. Maybe you're lucky with him and he gets better very fast, but I don't really believe he will.

Anyways,

best regards
