Well, last night we saw some very close games in the "bloodbath" conference.
Stonestars nailed it just against Ventola Team, and with it also remained at the top of the conference together with the all mighty Vottem Cowboys, the favourite for the title. So that promises to be an important game the next match day, with Vottem Cowboys visiting the Stonestars, in which the winner will take first place.
Also a great win for TBS Wolves, who managed to defeat the strong Basket Mizu Arlon at home, one of the main challengers for Vottem Cowboys this season.
And the fact that Obira Dragons, which hadn't won a game until last night, secured a win against the leader at that time, Kelmis Spartans, shows that the bloodbath conference, is a conference where the strength of the teams is not far apart, which means theat every win has to be fought for, and nothins is for certain.
But, this is also something that can be said from the Big 8 conference, which is also a conference where any team can win from any other team. Because if AmenRa or Boes decides they absolutely want to win a certain game, then they are certainly able to do that, against any team of their conference.
And that's why i want to make a suggestion for the nick name of the big 8 conference, cfr. the "Deep Sea" conference. Why "Deep Sea" ? Well, first of all because the deep sea is an unknown territory where you can encounter some unknown and dangerous creatures, which symbolises the fact that also in the big 8 conference you are never sure if you'll win your next game or not, as its unknown how strong exactly your opponent is gonna be, and the strength of the teams is tied so close together which means that any team can win from any other team. And second of all, because the "Deep Sea" stands also for the color blue, and the big 8 is the blue conference. Just like a Bloodbath makes you think of the color red, and so references to the great 8 (red) conference. Which was by the way not the reason why it's called bloodbath, but it's a nice convenience, lol.
What do you guys think ?
The Deep Sea Conference (blue conference)
The Bloodbath Conference (red conference)

grtz,
Eagle.

Good idea, i like it.

I'm still amazed at how I manage to give away my best start in 3 seasons ... Am I just not focused or what ?!

I was not so far from a perfect night; just one basket!

The next game against Stonestars could allready be decisive if I win it, but unfortunately I have also a decisive game in the B3 one day later. I can't win both so I will have to make a choice, but it's not obvious that it will be enough.

Try to win your B3 game then not to remain with no victory on wednesday night ;)
It's not in my plans to loose our game (neither to win our conference btw :p)... So be prepared... me to use all the options at my disposal to reach it... ;)

And that's why i like it so much to play in the BBBL.
Because here, unlike in the other leagues i played in, practically every game has to be fought for to achieve victory. And also many games are very close, with both adversaries capable of winning the game.
My previous 4 seasons in second division, half of the calendar were games won before the matches even started, which takes a lot of pleasure out of the game.
But here in the BBBL, it is a whole different story, teams are stronger ofcourse, but more importantly many teams are equally strong, some exceptions not included, and almost each game is very exciting to follow. That's why I hope my first season here won't be a disappointment, and hopefully i can prolong my stay in this beautiful league.
And also, the forum here is much more active than al the other forums of all other leagues, which makes it even more fun

Be careful Nico, it might not be wise to provoque Joe like that, because the Vottem Cowboys might crush you, just for challenging them like that ! You are playing a dangerous game, lol.

On the other side, the ranking is a bit unexpected as 2 promoted teams are leading the Deep Sea Conference. Congratulations to us but I don't think they will be able to go on this successful way.

You are absolutely right Ventola, and I have to admit that my current 4-1 has come totally unexpected, out of the blue, or in other words, out of the Deep Sea so to speak :-D

I'm very aware that this won't continue, and before long we just might be at the bottom of the ranking, certainly in this league, where things can change pretty fast. The Deep Sea is a dangerous place to be in, and although we are currently surfing it, we just might drown soon when falling of our surfboard, lol.

And also, I don't have much hope for our interconference games, and the club is already satisfied if we could just win 1 or 2 games against the teams of the bloodbath conference. That in itself would be an amazing achievement against such strong teams.

If we can just avoid relegation, our goal will be attained for this season. Besides, the competition has just only started, a lot can happen before the season is over.

But, we are enjoying the moment while it lasts ;-)

Playing CT's is always dangerous but the it as a reward as well especialy when you have cup games agaisnt weak opponents... for my TV game, I've took what it takes to defeat Arlon and secure cash entries, and i m glad i did it. But i'm not in the same configuration as i m just aiming the fifth spot this year as to me the PO won't be possible with StoneStar, Arlon ,Vottem and Kelmis, being too strong for me this year. I just hope to reach the fifth spot and win as many money as possible. I will of course check the game between you two but i've a very important game just after my game against Stonestar with a TV game against Eagle, so I won't take too much risks for that game whatever happens.
