If there is a bot cleanup, teams will promote based on regular season record, and playoff finish is irrelevant.

That's what I've said throughout the thread...where was the confusion?

the confusion happened when Larry-the-Bad (;þ) told it the other way around, but corrected himself a few posts later.
If one reads very quickly over the posts, it could happen that this caused some kind of confusion. But in this case they should read everything again, and a bit slower I guess.

Anyway I now regret to have myself sink away from conference leader to be able to get a better draft. My draftinfo sucks, and possibly it will also cost me a promotion now.
I guess I will have to go all the way to winning the finals then. ;)

You did clarify, though.

A shame, if the bot replacement team I trounced gets promoted and I don't, that's strike one against BuzzerBeater.

I waited for six, seven strikes against Hattrick over three seasons before quitting in disgust, I won't hang on that long with BB.

That's quite a bit of hair splitting you're doing over there dissecting the meaning of a pretty clear post by Juice. Sounds like you're looking for something/someone to be upset at.

not so sure the bot team gets promoted, since they are doing the opposite, getting the bot teams down...

as for the other remark. Do what you think is best for yourself, but I don't think talking like this will be constructive. Maybe these types of games are not ment for you. That is perfectly okay.
There is no need to try to make that clear to others who happen to enjoy the game, and adapt to the games rulings instead of the other way around.
Should you still want to contribute to improve the game, a polite and patient aproach, in which you clearly make a constructive remark might work best.

In the end all bot teams come down, so managed teams will go up. It would be very rare that a play-off team does not get up

And also being said. Try to promote te easiest and most legit way. Win the playoffs. If you need to depend on these loopholes to get promoted. Why bother. Don't blame the system. And don't flame...

I don't think you can consider LA-Lord of Doom's post to be flaming, he said everything in a pretty level-headed manner, and made no personal attacks. And I agree with what he said. I would agree with what you said too, except you came into a thread about botification to talk about how you should just win the playoffs, which is obvious and ideal, but we all can't be so lucky.
