Visionaries destroy Bullish Mentality by 36 points!!
Is a great 8 team 1 game away from 7th place really that much better than the first place big 8 team?

Yes and no. No because Bullish didnt play his strongest team.

But Visionaries are certainly better than them.

Ominous for me I have to say.... :)

that's interesting... even with a huge lead in the standings Bullish City doesn't take their best shot at the cup game. but still starts their first & third highest paid players.
while the NBBA teams flirting with ending up in the relegation slots concede a league game & play their best lineups in the cup.

I had a feeling i'd get stuck playing you!
First the Silverbacks, then LMA, now Visionaries... the 3rd NBBA team I've had had scheduled on a Saturday that I drew in the Thursday cup.

BTW, you're the only team left that's even had a notable cup victory so far. (& a 2nd after you beat me)

My schedule hasn't been very forgiving either. One NBBA (two counting you), at least one D.II, and a couple demoted-to-D.III-but-going-undefeated-and-repromoting guys. Lots of tanked games to stay in it this deep.

See you on Thursday... and Saturday!

Guys, the only option this week is to tank your individual games against me. I can see no other route to victory! ;)

In that case you'll both win and play again in the final.

Haha, if only.

You should stop buying guys before I feel like I need to buy guys. Arms race, two per player (unless you're shikago, some of his have 3).

I'm in a predicament. Burlington Mountain Goats are going to end the season 17-5 with a huge PD lead. I play Silverbacks and then I'm Away at both of the 1.05 million dollar rosters. So chalk those up as L's since my effective roster is over 300k less than theirs. It's not a big stretch to think both myself and BMG end at 17-5, with me losing HCA in the Finals.

So I decided to sacrifice the cup in an effort to manage minutes. I could have tried to go for both the Cup and the League, but I decided to play it safe and just picked one of them.

No clue, neither of us have played a real game against each other yet. He threw the first, I threw the second. So we have no idea how our teams match up against each other.

you're overlooking a rather difficult road game for me next week. and a non-gimme home game this weekend.

but i think you're right in that *someone* will finish 17-5.
