With the market being where it is ia am torn on what to do - was planning on selling Bergman, Edwards & Fosco & reloading but i know i'll get bugger all for them. That said i can buy players for a lot less as well.

Got to decide weather 5 or so million will get me what i want i guess.

I was offered 5 million for Bergman a while back and i think i'll be hard pressed getting more that 2.5-3 for him now it seems. If only i had timing like Bryce!

1/12/2012 - Bell Park SuperCats has just sold Irwin Velasco for $ 3 366 000.

Wow just three million for the USA NT SF? I guess he is 28 but still he was amazing, that seems low to me but I didn't see his stats so maybe there is a weakness somewhere.

Bergman is amazing I hace heard him mentioned as the best in his position in the ABBL so not so sure why you would want to sell him but then again as players get older their value drops a lot.

As someone that had $5,000,000 trust me that while the market is patherically low in general, the very best players still command top dollar prices. I was bookmarking heaps of SFs and watching the SF market over weeks and there just weren't any bargains. Now I am doing the same for PFs and it is a bit the same.

On the other hand if you want a C or SG with huge primaries you can get them for almost nothing if you don't care about the age. PGs I haven't looked at as I am building my own.

Nothing like a 250k C to push your wage bill up!

I'm torn at the minute. I Am training a SG although i could make him a PG Bergman is great and Edwards is very very good for his salary but not a true elite ABBL PG. I've always wanted a stupid good SF but am not interested in training one so i figured i could sell Bergman and Edwards, keep training up my SG & buy a SF and PG and have 100k players at all three spots eventually.

I figure i can get a SF for 3-4 mill and a PG for 2 mil but i need to get the right price for my guys if i'm going to do that.

I guess unless HA could win the cup next season Id have to say that the currant roster is not all that economically sustainable. But that said, with a bit of coin left in the bank, another home game tomorrow night and a player up for sale, HA is a lot further away from bankruptcy than what it is accustomed to, for this time of season

Its one thing to buy in beasts for a finals series but its another thing to get one in time to ensure they have good gameshape.

Its surprising how many of the 200 to 350K a week players are on the market having already played 96 minutes for the week

Hes not the best I bid on and perhaps I got a bit frustrated missing out on a couple good ones but Im hoping he will help stop the team yo-yoing between Div 1 and 2 and at the very least keep Hadders at bay to ensure the team gets HCA in the relegation series.

A lot of surprise wins on Saturday night.

Only 2 regular season games left and the rankings are not settled yet.

Now that I have a roster that I cant afford, the fans forgot to turn up.

Does anyone know the mathes as to how much better off financially CCat will be in 5th spot as compared to those who finish 4th and 6th?

Im sure to draw some ridicule for asking the following questions but Im a tad curious with regards to B3 games.

How much do you get for winning a B3 game?

and

does it affect your players weekly minutes if they partake in a B3 game?

A. 1 week without paying players' salaries vs 2/3 or 1/3 of attendance's income

B. I don't think they get any money from B3 and I don't think it affects their weekly minutes.

I may be mistaken though?

For B3:

http://www.buzzerbeater.com/community/rules.aspx?nav=B3

Doesn't affect players minutes for the week

As for the first question, would depend on what your salaries are, but 6th spot gets at least 2 games, one home one away, so 1 game of income, versus a week without salaries, you'd say roughly 200-300K better off being in 5th as opposed to 6th?

For the guy in 4th, in liklihood they only get one away game, unless they can defeat the #1 team away, so 1/3 of a game of income versus a week without salaries, probably roughly 600K better off being in 5th rather than 4th (basically, the person in 4th place gets screwed over under this system)

B3 games are a bit like the Cup games. You only get paid if you win the game but it's only a 20k bonus for the first round. Can't remember what it goes up to if you make the next round but it doesn't go up by much.

The minutes don't count towards your weekly minutes. It's played arcade style like PL games.
