im glad to hear this from you, thats the spirit.

i know its hard, but i dont know if the system is the same when i started because when i just had my team it wasnt super or should i say i dont have a star player on my lineup

but i do believe ( from my experience is ) if your given a team on division 2 that team is adequate enough to make you at least stay at div. 2

i concentrated on my players their strenght and weaknesses, where in i got couple of guards i can used, i was loaded with guards but none of them are complete players. i have to change tactics everytime and of course the starting lineups till i feel a good flow on my offense.

so i have to really do it one step at a time, analyzing what my team has and what best tactic i can use plus which things i need to compliment my team.

i remember buying a center who has rebound and ID and completely no offense and no free throws just because he is all i can afford. also i bought a guard that only has passing and handling and little defense but also no offense as a backup point guard again because he is all i can afford. imagine my frustration when every game this 2 plays and misses all their shots.

i even have to play my best offensive player which is a shooting guard at sf because i cant find anyone else to do it. and yes he is not getting trained :D

imagine i only learn to train players only at the end of my next season, imagine how i felt when i knew there was accelerated training process wherein i never benefited.

all this said mate, im just saying i know how you feel. but should we stop at this ?

i dont want you to make the same mistake i did when i started since i dont read much the forums :D

There really are no "trades". You can buy and sell players using the Transfer List link on the left side of the page.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

So I just got hit with the big penalties for daytrading

Some HUGe issues with date trading rules.

People who only do about 2 trades a week, but who have tons of money can avoid penalties. They use their large amount of $$$ to buy highly valuable players at low price and mark them up. I am sure there are many many teams doing this, which is why their is a gap in player values. ITs like you can get scrubs for up to 100k and the next cheepest you can buy is around 500k, then another gap up to the millions.

This trading that is NOT being controlled does inflate prices of players critical for building a good team, especially for new players.

I started I only had about 200k, I couldn:t buy any good players cuz I didn:t even have enough to bid on them.

I've finally worked up to probably about 1.5 million in goods that I could liquidate this next weekend except that I got completely blocked off. I did this at first selling 1000s for 10000, 10000s for 50000s, 30000s for 100000s, etc. Working up with what money I had.

So good job admins you ahve completely blocked me out from competing in this game for ATLEAST another 14weeks because I made about 1million over 4 weeks or so, Oh and you caught me right when I had most of that million still in inventory.

BUT there are people making 2 and 3 million a week, every week, uneffected by your rules.

Rich get richer, Poor stay poor. This is like North Korean Democratic Socialism. Democratic as long as you vote for the folks and power and Socialist if you are poor, if you are rich though go ahead and exploit all you want.

This market system means absolutely nothing if people are not allowed to trade in it.

70% (a 30%) is the worst it should go. Cutting me down to 26% return on a sale essentially tells me I am not allowed to sell any player on my roster anymore. Why not just run my team for me admins?

What really does this training simulation game offer?
You only have offensive strategies and defensive strategies, less than 12 options- YOu can:t call plays you can assign start players, go to guys. You can't tell your team which guy to double team ETC. on the other team. You can't choose who takes crunchtime shots, who shoots from where. YO ucan't choose subbing paterns in any detail. YOu can't limit low stamina vet minutes specifically as a strategy. You can't do much of anything at all.

Training makes no sense. You train one group of guys and everyone else does what, plays videogames all week? Guys can play 90 minutes and get no training, meaning no development or growth except experience.

This game might make sense with a salary cap. IF their is a trading cap, which I've hit, there should be a salary cap. That would make the quality of players on each team relatively even, which would mean you could win with game strategies alone.

No way to win if the otherguys players are all better than yours in every category. ONly way for me to start playing this game was daytrading.

Can you show me an example of a team (just 1 is fine) that is making 2-3mil a week.

Good job on your day trading but now yes you have hit a wall for the time being. Still you have accumalted more 'inventory' as you call it than anyone who started the game at the same time as you so you are well ahead of the curve.

Can I ask why therefore you are still unhappy?

Top teams in every league almost makes 2-3 transfers a week. I don't know maybe they are just doing it for fun. I think they are skill upgrading via playing the market. They buy players that they sell for double what they were originally bought for and occasionally sell players for about what they paid when they have bought something on market better than what they had. I don't see many top teams at all that don't make regular transfers.
This is about limiting us to 2 transfers a weeka... slowing the market down? That just slows the game down. Ultimately people who make smarter decisions with their transfers will make leaps and bounds games in skills of their players and/or create extra fundage for themself for arena building (which just transfers into even more fundage) trainer (more skills), doctors and PR (again money makes money).
All the rules are doing is slowing down the market, it is not evening it out.

Why am I not happy?
I'm not ahead of the curve by any means. I wanted to build my own team with the following things-
Players with standable names. I didn't want a guy on waivers named Dickov for example.
Players whose position label matched their skills and height. I didn't want 6foot1 CENTER I drafted or 6 foot 10 point guard. Just seemed silly stupid to me, like many other things.
Players with rounded skills-
Since you can't call plays, set defensive assignments or direct shot selection of players I couldn't see trying to make players who do one thing or another. If trained a guy to be like Dwight Howard, I couldn't have him play with an Orlando like team of three point shooters, because I'd have no way of telling it to let everyone on the team BUT Dwight shoot threes. In this game even if you choose low post offense your center might take 3 3 point attempts. Play calling seems random as to which position goes for the types of shots you are asking for. Even if it goes to the traditional positions what about a princeton offense. In my mind you could have slashing guards, like Tony Parker, and 3 point bombing forwards like Dirk Norwitski, Okur and Rasheed Wallace OR you could have 3 point shooting guards and forwards like LA or Orlando and big post men like Shaq and Dwight Howard.

Anyway my plan was to make some money then use it to buy an all around team, cuz with the way the game strategies are set up that seemed the only thing likely to make sense.

Maybe there could be a method of having a 3 point shooting squad and a inside scoring squad, like an A team and B team then you could put opponents off guard, or you could have a team just devoted to one thing or the other, just make sure every position players works well for how that offense you are going for simulates.

Right now what I have is a random amalgamation of players good enough to beat the computer in league II .
