Hmm... yes, it's definitely missing the 2011-11-18 handling pop. Can you try just resending that entry and see if it gets it? (each pop is sent separately, so it's possible our host just timed out when you sent that one).

Happy training day everyone!

In honor of the remarkably fast training update today, I've put up two new pages on the analysis page.

- The first is just a fun little stats page so you can see how many people are contributing data, and how much data we've collected so far (hint: over 1300 weeks, and 2600 pops at last check!). I'll add to this as I think of other fun things to display, and as time allows.

- The second, and more interesting one, is a first attempt to nail down the effect of age on training speed. We look at all training types that produced measurable training speeds in decent samples and compared the speeds among ages. The (weighted) average of these for each age is used to compute an overall rate relative to 18yo. The data is still pretty noisy, despite all the data we've collected, and unfortunately this is especially true for 19-20yo. But if you step back, the trend is pretty clear! I'll keep working on finding better ways to analyze this, but in the meantime, the plot will update automatically as more data is added, so it should become more and more accurate over time.

I've made this available to anyone who's added 4 weeks of training data, which should include all supporters, and all non-supporters who have been contributing since the start. If you don't have enough, this is meant to provide a little motivation to help us continue to get more data! (Note, the next one on the list is trainer level, which I'll probably set to need 5-6 weeks of data, so if you haven't started adding data yet, now's the time so that you'll have enough added when this does eventually come out).

Enjoy, and remember I'm always open to suggestions of other ways to analyze the data (time permitting)!

Do you have enough data to try and pinpoint what trainer level correlates with the values on the training speed analysis page?

This is a great tool. thanks for putting it together.

Did you clicked the Send to BB-Training button on the training menu? Did this button appears on your training menu at all?

This button doesn´t show up to my BB-account.
What am I doing wrong?
There seems to be no script installed with the greasemonkey addon.

Great project. Training history sent to BB-training
- first 17 weeks was 1vs1 and now training is passing....so some facts about elastic effect can be get soon....hopefully someone is training passing without elastic effect for 19 years old players....

I will also try to get local stuff more to this study!

Catching up on a few posts...

First, I noticed some problems sending the data for my team last week. When you click send, it should take a couple seconds before the confirmation box pops up. If it happens too fast, it's possible something went wrong, despite the message you see. Take a quick look at your team's training history page on the bb-training site to make sure the info got sent correctly.

mcsmooth: we're getting close for trainer level, that's next on my list of things to put up. unfortunately, the data so far still looks a bit strange (the effect from level 4-5 is noisy, but reasonable... level 6 consistently shows up as *slower* than level 5, which I'm sure is wrong, despite the fact that we have a decent amount of data... so i'm making sure i'm doing the analysis correct and in the best way possible before releasing it, although the answer may just be that we still need more data).

MPL/wolph: yeah, only 85 (well, now up to 97), but a lot have been supporters which has helped get a lot of weeks of data. also, remember the stats there are just for the bb-training site, but the analysis pages are also pulling from another version that's built into the US NT offsite, which has another 125 users worth of data. i was hoping we'd get some more people than that, and we may yet, but even so it's nearly doubled the user base, which isn't too shabby. but any ways you guys can get more people involved would be great.

thunder dan: if you're using firefox, after you've installed greasemonkey (and probably, restarted firefox) there's a second link on the main page that will let you install the "send" script itself. if you've installed that and verified that it got installed (i forget where this is in firefox, either add-ons or extensions or something) and it's still not working, shoot me a bb-mail.
