Yes, they do, at least the JS secondary of 1v1f.

I actually attribute these different training-increase versus height as conscious design decisions.

1v1 forwards is good for getting some IS on short guys, but not as much for tall guys. Those tall guys are thought to get better IS training via IS@C. THis is similar to the fact that IS secondary of JS forwards has a declining IS training v. height.

In contrast, short guys and guards can more easily get JS from some combination of outside shooting, jump shot guards/wingmen, and 1v1 guards.

It was definitely a big surprise when the data started to suggest that height affects training type, not the skill itself.

quick note, when you talk about 150 total skills, you add Stamina and Free throws?

BTW, I am with wolph in this one, you wont finish this player if you dont train him until 28 or so, those two years can make a big difference, you can squeeze 8-10 pops in those 10 seasons that make the player go over the top and really be something special.

Normall I just talk of 10skill...but for b3 and high level NT you actuallly need the ST and FT really...another 10 atleast.

So yea I was getting stuff a bit confused there. the 7 of FT the player would need woudl not count into the 150 TSP for the 10skillsum

Then I am not sold on a 150 tsp without St or FT. I wont believe until I see it.

For example Sedlar has a 132 total skill points without ST and FT, and you are saying that there is a guy with 18 more skillpoints?

I have seen one 140 tps, trained until 29 years old. He capped but you could have squeezed a couple more pops, 142 maybe tops? better training and better starting abilities 145 tops? 150 would need lvl 7 trainer, no injuries, no stamina or ft training until age mid twenties, and nearly all respectable starting skills. And it would cap before that if he is no all time leyend or has a ton of 1on1.

Maybe on paper it can exist, but until I see it I wont believe it, over 140 maybe, over 150 too good to be true.

Possibly, but it's worth remembering that the lines on the training page are only fits to the data that we have from the crowdsourcing project. So, I agree that the single position passing curves that show increasing training with height are unusual. But there are relatively few tall guys getting consistent passing training. And you're definitely correct, their training speed is very likely to be boosted by a elastic/CT effect.

On the other hand, the two most popular training types ever are pressure and 1v1 forwards. In both of those it's apparent that the training v. height slope is dependent on the training type, not the skill itself:

-for pressure, the inside defense secondary is slower the taller you get.

-for 1v1f, the IS secondary is slower the taller you get
-for 1v1f, the JS secondary is faster the taller you get

This makes sense if you take into account elastic effect, for taller players we expect a higher IS so the elastic effect will slow down secondary training.
