I will stay afloat, my situation isnt as bad as i make out.. if we can keep winning games, we can actually make some decent money. I am very happy where my roster is at the moment, much happier than at the start of the season. I dont see myself making any purchases or transferring anyone out for some time now, it is all about developing the players i have.
It is nice to be getting some results, but i am also putting training first. We arent strong enough to challenge yet, once my man Courreges comes along i think we will be ready to have a red hot crack.
That C i bought is prolly to expensive, but for what i paid for him i just coudnt pass him up.

pretty much went as expected tonite.. hippos and be high get some nice wins to help the PD.
i am spewing i played normal vs his TIE, but the win was more important to me than game shape, that being said i possibly could have won by TIEing. training mins are shot to bits this week, so might have to do something different :(
on the positive, i pocketed an extra 40k in ticket sales over my last home game, so am really happy about that..

The win was nice and keeping him to 0 points in the 4th was nice but look at the quality of my opponents:
SG C. Banks 41 1 - 7 0 - 3 0 - 6 -41 2 4 0 7 1 0 6 2 1.0

MG screwed me in so many ways.
Double OT ruined minutes and the loss meant crap attendance

Nope and won't be this season, I am going for the Neeber method, touch nothing pull off the best draft pick in the lottery :D

Yeah I'm not drafting again this season.
I have 32 points sitting there and have ceased scouting.
at 80% attendance my PROFIT is $114k
when full it will be more like $150k
I might be able to finish low enough next season to worry about spending my 32 points.
but i dont need to do any scouting for over a season and am happy to see that money stay in my pocket.
It's interesting that most people will be doing the same method of "neeber got that monster draftee by doing nothing, i'm gonna do the same" hahaha

hehe... i aint making the $$ to invest in it at the moment, so happy to see what happens.. last year i invested heavily, and found rubbish, so this year i am using the money i spent on nothing, on more concrete options, aka, Ledrych :D

I basically spent my points in the "scouting combine" and individually on a few 18yr old giants, I want to train a couple of big men next year so I'm hoping to land a gun at my early pick.
Would you guys say that combine is an effective use of points or was I better off individually scouting? I thought by knowing ages and heights I'd put myself in as good a position as I possibly could come draft time!

that is a great use of your points if you are looking for a certain type of player. ie. 18 y/o big guy like you said.
that is the strategy i tend to use when scouting players
