I was saying it because if there is a merge it could pefectly be a nice rule to not let macros be bigger

On the other hand, Perprete, don't bother, each time anyone writes something this "trainerman" guy starts "me,me,me" "micro,micro,micro"

I think that all this is a good lesson to anyone that wants to create an online game that involves nations from the entire world.
Make sure to create made up nations that no one really cares about :)

And if Marin is actually looking at a reshuffle that will work, an idea like this has to be on the table. That is the correct order of magnitude for a reshuffle that will actually work. Crushing nations together into zones or regions or languages or bushel baskets will only create a new set of problems while eliminating few of the old problems.

I have posted a couple of times about the standards that the best suggestions meet. Meeting those standards is entirely possible and anything less would represent a wasted opportunity to save BB.

Let's agree that each time you listed that, it was your sole opinion. You may be right or wrong, but if any change done by the BBs doesn't meet your standard, it doesn't mean it's an error.

Of course I agree, it's my opinion. And while we're agreeing on things, let's also agree that those standards relate to the benefit of the game as a whole and not the me-me-me that most of the posts present. Let's also agree that doing something on a sufficient scale to matter and solve problems is going to take some hard work by the guys doing the coding, but simply capitulating to the me-me-me's is worthless.

See? Isn't agreeing fun?!

Sorry but Macros, if they have problems, should wait.

Except that as we all know, all countries big and small play this game together, with a completely shared economy, shared BBB competition, etc. Trying to reshuffle the game in any meaningful way cannot ignore that.

What about a different model?

The merging will be continent-wide. Put all the existing teams of Europe in the same league structure. Leave Divisions I and II empty in the beginning. All teams will be put in Division III, IV or even V. Starting from scratch, as in Utopia.

Division I and II are continent-wide leagues, meaning there will be teams from each country playing against each other. But of course you have to promote to get there.

III., IV. and V. leagues are created for each Country. So in Europe there will be a Division III.Germany, a Division III.Austria, a Division III.Romania etc. Same with Div. IV and V (if needed). So you can keep nationalities, flags and NTs as they are. Teams are promoting in their countries to Div. III, from Div. III to the Continental Div. II and I.

So the best teams will be playing internationally. Let's call these leagues "Euroleague".

If it's too difficult to put whole continents together, try to find groups of 16 countries so you can stick to the current system of 1 Div. I, 4 Div. II, 16 Div. III etc.

The thing with your proposal is that it would be very hard for macro nation users to get to the "Euroleagues", while many micro country users will perhaps start right at that level. It would not solve a thing for getting to play somewhat equal teams. Many micro nations for example have only 1 competitive Div, and maybe a few users in each of the Div II.

This idea is nice. but the Promotion/demotion process would not work. For every manager who joins the first leagues you would need a manager from the same country to demote from the first league into the regional league.

also it would be much easier for micronation users to promote into the first league. this would make problems even bigger because teams of bigger nations would have it very hard to get to div I. a team from germany would have to beat 500 others to get to div I, a team from luxemburg f.e. less than 18..

If you really want to have european/ continental leagues you have to mix up all managers and let them keep their national/language forum and probably the national teams.

but I wouldn't touch the big nations, as they work fine/ have enough managers for good competition in lower leagues

I think Austria would show the least resistance against a merger with Switzerland and Germany - both countries are no candidates for a merger in the original suggestion tho.
