I judge these p-spreads as FUZZY MATH (even more so than my power rankings, not an easy task ;) ). The majority of TIE's haven't made them and probably won't. I kept up my average in the last game but still no love. When will you kneel before ZOD, PWNster?!

Fuzzy math, a side, the spreads are getting better. It will take some time to get a better idea how to set them.

September Showdowns!

oo Pwnstarz oo @ Team Jazz (+28) (o/u 173)

Seattle Legends @ UGN (+4) (o/u 192)

Capt. Morgan @ NY Nightmare (-3) (o/u 208)

Moneyhoes @ L.S.D. (-13) (o/u 215)

lafakers @ Weed (-11) (o/u 189)

Round 1

Wochester Buckeyes, go into the unfriendly confines of Violation Arena. Bring a doctor. It looks like the Violatorz are prepping for the post season.

W. Buckeyes @ Violatorz (-19) (o/u 167)

Round 2

Hammersaurus Rex, will need a nearly flawless inside game, if they want to escape from Smoke Creek with a victory. IXLOS finds themselves in another pivotal matchup, something they are become very comfortable with. IXLOS's confidence is unwavering, right now.

H. Rex @ IXLOS (- 13) (o/u 163)

Main Event

Something Epic brings the most expensive roster, from the Great 8, to NBA Allstar Weekend, home of NBA swaggs most expensive roster. Neither team can ill afford a loss, as it will probably move them 1 game further behind conference leaders.

Something Epic @ NBA swaggs (-3) (o/u 208)

This is a general post and not meant as a response to anything in particular. This is my first full season in BB but I've had the sport of bball around me my entire life. I came in the last third of S16 and as most of the B8 remembers was pretty much a doormat that was able to squeak into the playoffs.

That said, I just checked in on our reigning V.65 Champ YD and it's a revelation where they sit close to midseason. Currently they're below .500 with a PD of -74. Last season, YD rolled through last season nearly untouchable. This was punctuated by a sweep of LSD in the finals. In D.IV, they are not even set to get into the playoffs with their current roster getting stepped on like they are. Their last loss came on the road with pretty much a 30 point margin. The previous loss coming in at 60 pts. It is realistic that they could be fodder for relegation. This indicates to me that being dominant in D.V in no way guarantees success in D.IV. Bulking up for post season as a strategy seems feasible in lower leagues like D.V and D.VI. Without a true mastery of the nuances and techniques of building and maintaining a formidable squad, it would seem to doom any hopes of rising to compete with the BB elite. Joga Bonito

Well that is not really fair to the Yard Dawgs or anyone else recently promoted. Of course they are going to be behind the curve. Each division you go up, you gain more revenue, so you have more money to pay/buy players. I mean, look at the team you start with here, and what you have now. It didn't happen overnight. It takes time.

What I find interesting is that there are already 2 bots in the league, with 2 more about to go bot. Unlike in D.V, when a team goes bot, it stays bot until the end of the season. So with 2 bots in each division, He is more then likely to stay up. Plus, he is 1 of only 3 teams left in the USA cup, so he's earning yet additional revenue.

Season 15's winner, Monkey Show, (29183) is 9-2 and doing very well, in their second season. They are all but a lock for the playoffs.

So maybe we are doing something right, no? :P

Traumatic Tuesday Night!

UGN @ Capt. Morgan (-15) (o/u 178)

NBA swaggs @ Seattle Legends (+ 31) (o/u 204)

NY Nightmare @ Hammersaurus Rex (-20) (o/u 183)

weed rollers @ W. Buckeyes (-16) (o/u 173)

Team Jazz @ Moneyhoes (-13) (o/u 191)

IXLOS Sabres @ lafakers (+24) (o/u 200)

Preliminary Match-up

L.S.D. go into Epic Arena needing to prove they can hang with the big boys. Something Epic comes home after that heartbreaking loss, where they put everything into, but came up short. L.S.D. could put all on the line and steal one, not sure they will though.

L.S.D. @ Something Epic (-14) (o/u 220)

MONO E MONO

No its not an STD. Well it might be after the game. If things go as planned the Violatorz, may need some penicillin.

Violatorz @ oo Pwnstarz oo (-13) (o/u 169)

I appreciate the response and didn't mean to seem not respectful of the achievements of winning a league. It wasn't my intention to throw a dig at the league or to toss YD under the bus.

The meat of the message is an observation on D.V dominance vs. higher league competitiveness. The general principles of the game remain unchanged on any level. The illustration I chose was YD but it could apply to any team. The topic I was trying to flush out was dependence on strategies that succeed in the beginner leagues that lead to detrimental habits that can hinder a manager going onto the next level. Ideally, any competent manager should get a shot on the bigger stage.

My critique does use a real world example. With all due respect to your 'fairness', PWNY, YD's team history shows that the franchise became YD in Season 8. At that time the team was in D.IV. http://www.buzzerbeater.com/team/23064/history.aspx Since that time they've won two D.V titles. A great accomplishment in itself but it also meant that they were relegated twice. I believe there are lessons to be learned for all managers by studying this example. There's nothing mean spirited about it. It's simply observation and study of an example. An example that happened to run over V.65 like a Mack truck, but for some reason hasn't translated that success in D.IV play.

Your insight is always appreciated, PWNY. I'll state again that I'm just a noob and am eager to learn. It's my method to pull things apart and learn through vigorous dissection. It's not my intent to come off as an instant expert. My own squad didn't happen overnight, true enough, and we're far from being a power in D.V. Hopefully in the near future we'll be able to try our hand at D.IV and beyond. Same goes for the rest of the league.

Damn your spelling and fuzzy math again, PWNY. It's "Mano Y Mano".

LSD's been silent but is always deadly. I don't see why they wouldn't go all out being that they dropped 2 of their last 3. The most dangerous animal is the one that is wounded.

The only non-bot matchup other than you and VIO is SWAG v. Legends. So it's 90% yawn on a Tuesday. Man, you really got no faith in Moneyhoes. Is it because Panoulias got bumped from Points Leader for the week? Not very fair or balanced, P-baby :0

I wasn't criticizing your post. I was just showing, that you really can't expect a team from D.V to go in and dominate teams that have been making more money and have more established players. It takes time to compete, just like it takes time to compete in our division, after you start.
