1) Let's take hca and effort out of it then. With the same gameshape, enthusiasm and his best lineup... I won comfortably.
2) I have a headstart on enthusiasm due to better management.
3) My players are not going to cost me a fortune in depreciation this season.
4) He didn't upset any decent teams other than yourself last season. Like most, just took advantage of the many teams who tanked.

That being said, I would say you got it horribly wrong...

is this as your announcement that tanking is over & winning is here?

That can't be answered with a definite yes or no. I am far from spending all my resources at a title run as Willie is going to spend a lot of time out of position, but this season I am confident with my current list I am a top 3 side in my conference (while cfh is tanking). Whether I decide to go the all out tank again depends on how I am placed after asw and also whether troopers look like promoting again. At this stage I have no intention of tanking again...

as usual putting an early effort into being mr diplomacy season 18 :P\

but u could be right only u know if it is time 2 go 4 it

looking @ ur roster i thought another season of training would be good & looking @ your conf with smeltz 100% bent on world domination i thought it would be a bad time 2 compete but if u r then no doubt u will be top 3-4

as 4 ur comments about learvins, which also apply to HAX & naker they can always get a good level of success from that sort of strategy but mostly i dont see teams making the abbl that way, they tend to be like fat boy, smeltz, seagulls, adam, monkey, zazz, kynlala etc & have trained their guys into the sort of players that they want

sure there are exceptions like hopelessly addicted but i think they are the minority

I did play my 3.5K 18y/o at PG, and Patient does make games closer - I was 20+ up for a lot of that game, too.

Anyone notice something odd about most of the winning scores?

101 - Meateors
100 - Marmots, CCCP, JW
99 - Vis Maior, Goldfish

6 out of the 8 games were won by teams with very similar scores. 100 seems to be the benchmark for the win :P

bit off topic, but how much does a world renowned trainer with 24k salary go for?

One for sale atm, I reckon 3mil!

Believe it or not HA does train some players.

Pedrosa who is HAs most important player has spent 8 seasons being trained as a small forward and currently HA has delusions about turning Sahin into an ABBL beast and Cauycong and Nefi into top ABBL players

Perhaps HA now tends to "top up train" purchases rather than fresh faced 18 year olds, but HAs first trip to the ABBL was on the back of several seasons of small forward training to Pedrosa and Fallon, the later who was sold to bank roll some acquisitions.

Good luck to all this is certainly a very interesting league to watch.

Be interesting to see some polling of who people expect to win and perhaps Yoda who has just had his wings clipped would be kind enough to calculate out some odds.

I fear Smeltz who claims he is already losing interest might drop the ball if he cant buy his way back to the ABBL.

He certainly has lots of potential oppossition

Id personally hate for HA to relegate down to this league

as was evident from the first game, all before me will just succumb to me so hopefully i wont need to buy my way bak to the ABBL but rather get there with the team at hand

Hi Smeltz it looks like you've been reading HAs 15th season book on Gamesmanship.

I had everyone conned that I was still looking for further acquisitions despite being in reality almost bankrupt

Sorry to expose you but despite your best intentions you were unable to resist the temptations and consequently failed to tank properely last season in the ABBL.

Your team isnt balanced properely and you set your bleachers too high in price meaning that you will lose a mint every week.

I fear that if you are unable to buy your way back into the ABBL this season that the "fountain of tanking cash" will evaporate and you will lose interest in the game and go bot.

That all said Id sincerely love you to make it back to the ABBL because you are a true character and would certainly help add some extra colour to the forums

Good luck for the season
