Sorry, have no idea.
Off-topic: Ever since hearing you're Scottish, I imagine your posts as being read by Shirley Manson.

Wow, nothing like being down 33 in the 3rd quarter of a game where you have a slight edge. Welcome to the NBBA, me. Where sh*t doesn't make sense.

I would guess you're underestimating the importance of OD and flow at this level if you think you had a slight edge in that one.

But yeah, I'd at least think it should have been closer given the ratings.

Not sure what you mean about OD considering I had his outside attacks covered, as well as his inside attacks..

My saying I had the slight edge is going off of pp100, where it shows I should've had 90.8 to their 88.8. Considering that and ratings are calculated through our player ratings and tactics, its the only thing we really have to go off of, so I wouldn't say I'm underestimating anything.

That said, I figured it would be close and most likely a tossup. I'm just baffled at how it was a blowout.

Oh, I'm not disagreeing. In fact, by pp100 it really was even more in your favor than that since your best guys were the ones your tactic should have been favoring.

But on the team ratings, I was just comparing your defense to his. Comparing offense to defense ratings is tricky, because I don't really think they're perfectly scaled. Back when I looked into this a bunch of seasons ago, it looked like if you were going to compare them the best comparison was OS / (PD-2) and IS / (ID-0.5), or something like that. So a 7 OS vs 7 PD matchup favors the offense much more than a 7 IS vs 7 ID one. Or put another way, you need much more OD to stop an outside attack, than ID to stop an inside attack.

But I definitely agree... being -28 in the first half is baffling.

have to take into account banger's lower team/matchup ratings as it was blowout and backups were in the entire 4th quarter. in fact, your dominance in the 4th confirms how much weaker sharon's 4th quarter players are.

add the intangibles (blocked shots, rebounding, turnovers) in chitown's favor and i dont think this result is much of a mystery.

Most of their backups aren't that bad. In fact, in their PL game 2 days earlier, they played the same starters with more regular minutes and their ratings were slightly lower.

I've added the intangibles. Including his large lead in rebounding despite lower rebounding. It's still a mystery ;)

But I get it, I'll stop venting before I become the token complainer :p

starters -> backups in salary

pg: 73k -> 45k
sg: 100k -> 35k
sf: 35k -> 3k
pf: 135k -> 15k
c: 120 -> 100k

pretty significant downgrade at most positions there
