Anyway, the best team won the WC and maybe the final game could have been more interesting if Serbia was the second finalist. USA would have been favorite also but it could have been interesting to see how the mega-stars from tha USA team would play against well organized teamwork/team-play. I do not want to offend anyone, but Turkey didn't have 10 equal players, 2 for every position. So USA didn't have much of a opponent in the final game.
The bad thing for basketball and for the organizers of WC in Turkey is that FIBA (or whoever) choose referees from "strong" basketball communities such as Bahamas, Dominican Republic ... for the semi-final game Turkey - Serbia. I mean, we all know that the host team would likely have little help from the referees always but that game was so shameful

All those mistakes, "unseen" fouls and even the last shot made by Tuncheri coming form out-of-bounds right in front the referee ?? Naaaah.
So Turkey + refereees won in semi-final by one score against much younger team. Was Serbia that strong? Hehehehe
Regards again from cold and cloudy Belgrade :S
