Guys, it's over. The players that haven't seen much action will do now...

This campaign has certainly been my greatest failure in BB so far. Perhaps there are some mitigating circumstance, but this is definitely as bad as it could possibly go.

hey man dont put yourself down like that...

I think you have done a super job so far. As always in England, the english players play well and suddenly they are world cup favourites or grandslam winners or as good as Michael Schumacher. Adding expectations that cant be matched.

You have overperformed the last few seasons with the players you had to your advantage and therefore you were too high ranked and people were expecting too much.

Germany, Denmark and Belgium were matches we would loose for certain. We started only last season mobilizing the english community and working and keeping english draftees alive etc when a team went bot. Cyprus is doing this for many seasons already and they are way ahead because off this.we have some great players but not enough. we also have some coaches that arent very cooperative. without being patronizing or blaming anyone, the best examples are alex ring and facundo blanco. They are among the best I have seen, however with a mediocre or lower enthusiasm we are kind off screwed. I have written numerous times to their coach, also send link to him with regards to gameshape and got no response and dont see any improvements...

I did send the gameshape forum link to many coaches and got many positive replies. More importantly I have seen many improvements too, resulting not knowing who to play tonight.

I even get many questions with regards to how to train players etc from the U21 coaches. Sometimes I respond slower than I would like, but I do respond. Compared to start off last season I see massive improvements in the U21 and eventually they will be visable in the NT too. I hope we both will be many more seasons in our job and take both teams together in tandem to the top 30 or 35 from the world. I dont think we should aim for that right now. England isnt a massive crazy basketball nation but I am sure we should be able to achieve what countries like Cyprus has achieved and follow them as an example.

Dont let your head hang low. You did better than I expected and I am sure better than most other coaches would have done.

Moominpapa

ps we all make misstakes and sometimes you get suprised by the opponent. That isnt your fault. it makes this game so much fun...

Hi... can I ask you one thing?

I wouldn't be able to reach 2nd place anyway, but can you tell me, if you want, why you played CT against Germany and Belgium and not against Denmark?

It shows they have a really bad coach. They CTed twice already and I cant see them end in the top 4 because off this.

Hi Astragoth, are you still convinced?

yes i am still convinced, as far as I know Cyprus and England both didnt qualify. as far as I know not qualifying for the WC football means nothing... It means nothing in BB too...

It is clear Cyprus is way ahead off England, but we only started mobilizing the english community one season ago and Cyrpus has a more active community than we have and started getting organized many seasons ago...

It is comparing apples with bananas and thats why I wont change my mind...

If you think it is something personal, I cant help that.

I was asking to England NT coach... are you?

Anyway I think that you know just a little bit of the story. England has a better roster than Cyprus right now, so don't complain yourself...

Apples that I grow in 5 seasons... so I'm not "so bad".

I'm not "so bad" because I reach 4th place (you said that I can't, your words, not mine!).

You still think that I'm a bad coach.. ok, it's fine... but it's funny :-)

how do you know england has a better roster than cyprus? by looking at the salaries? or do you have a way off seeing the england players skill sets?

Yes, Apples that I grow in 5 seasons... so I'm not "so bad", you run the Cyprus team all by yourself and train all the players? As far as I am aware it is a team effort and not just your doing. Knowing how to train players doesnt make you a good coach.

I am glad to have discussions with people that read other peoples post. Where did I say you cant reach 4th position? I never said that. This is what I said. Saying i did is just a blatant lie!!!

I wish you good luck too and no matter what happens, I dont think neither England nor Cyprus will end in the top 2 spots... So lets hope we meet again in the next round :)

But I already know from other forum posts that you just keep going on and on and on, about what you want to believe and you refuse to read what others say. I have even praised the Cyprus team and their progress on numerous occasions. I am not going to have that kind off discussion, it is just totally useless.

Wish you all the best with the Cyprus team.

Yes, it's useless because I wasn't speaking with you, but with Elboss.

Just two points in order to answer you:

how do you know england has a better roster than cyprus? by looking at the salaries? or do you have a way off seeing the england players skill sets?

I'm not so stupid to say "oh my God... 100k salary!!! He's a monster!!!" no... sometimes player go on the market (copy and past skills), sometimes I know users that have these players so I ask them by msn... I had 10 players of England before our match... may be not all 10 were updated, but just a help.

you run the Cyprus team all by yourself and train all the players? As far as I am aware it is a team effort and not just your doing. Knowing how to train players doesnt make you a good coach.

No, but I follow every single national player growth since he's 18, according with user, or giving them advice.
