First of all, I am not telling the GDP is useless. I am just sharing my own opinion. GDP is not good for this game, its my own point of view. It gives unjust penalty for me just because I want my team to play according to my own choice of offense.

First of all, it's not that I enjoy playing the same offense, all over and over again. It's just a question of mastery. In real basketball its take a lot of time to practice, learn, a type of offense, whether its motion, inside, low-post, etc. It takes a lot of time, to assemble a good versatile team. Maybe you already have a good versatile team, you have a team that can play good on outside and inside. Well my team is not like that. Even in real basketball, you cannot see a team that today they play low-post, and then the next game, they will play run and gun because the next opponent may predict that we are playing low-post, we will be at disadvantage. Phil Jackson has led the chicago bulls to the 6 NBA title not by using different offensive tactics every game.

If there's a problem with the LI wherein it becomes the most used, why not fix it? Now, even the non-LI users are also affected. why not play the normal simulation, where gamers try to counter the LI offense with 2-3 zone, or other defensive means? There are still other defensive tactics that are not included in buzzerbeater like half court trap, half court press, etc. Instead they implement GDP... Making gamers think twice using LI or play LI with penalty.

Like I said before, I dont expect something like change, like they remove GDP. I am just sharing what I think is not right. I think I have the right to share opinion as a gamer and a supporter. I only want to voice out my reasons.

You should really dig into the game a bit deeper. Work on your GS like someone suggested earlier and don't give up. It's easy to blame it on GDP, but it's really silly to be blaming it on one thing (especially GDP). All it shows is that you are pretty new to this game with still a lot to learn. And really, if you do that... you'll find out how fast you can climb.

I agree with others, you just need to learn to play the game properly, that's it. Stick around, you'll figure it out soon.

Check the game I previously posted, I won despite my opponent used the GDP, had twice my salaries. First of all, game shape. Players get tired if they play too much minutes. You need to limit them to 48-66 mins. It's actually one of the fun aspects of the game, you have 3 games, so you need to decide in which ones to play which players.

My team is not like other teams, this game, i use push the ball, then the next game I will use run n gun, then the next game I use princeton, then next game low post. My team is not even versatile. With GDP, teams are force to play various offense or else they will be predictable to opponents. With GDP, I cannot play like I am playing before.

Well for you guys, have fun with the GDP.

This is only my opinion, i am also very sorry. I think i have the right, also as a supporter to share what I think. I am also sorry, if this pisses you off.

Luckily for you, you can cope with the GDP, and GDP is beneficial for you, so have fun with GDP.

The last several seasons in the ABBL 95% of games that didn't involve tanking were LI/M2M v LI/M2M. Something needed to change. This gives you something to think about. I spent many many seasons trainng and buying the perfect LI/M2M team but even I think it is great that this change forces you to think a little.

People that think the GDP gives you a massive 20+ point shift are dreaming though. But it is important enough that if you just go LI/M2M every game you will lose those single digit games that you would have won in previous seasons. So now it is more of a game of deciding when you can play LI/M2M safely and when not.

For the OP who had a LI team and complained that his PF and C had no JS he can just mix up some LP or INS-ISO from time to time and his opponents will at least get the pace wrong or stop predicting pace making the effect half as negative.

Look, you are talking about this game, which you clearly don't know how to play.

First of all, you ain't beating anyone with inept gameshape players. Think of it like this: your players get tired if they play too much minutes over the week. They need 48-66 minutes. That means roughly, you can play them two games as starters, or one game starter, two games backup. For trainees one game 48 min, second game backup.

Managing minutes is actually one of the fun parts of this game. After each training update at Friday, I take a look at my three upcoming games, and set lineups so my players play reasonable minutes. I scout my opponents, and decide which players will play in which match. For stronger opponent, I put my best lineup, for weaker opponents, I put weaker lineups.

It's fun, and resembles real life basketball coach decisions.

After that basic concept, you'll need to figure out how the economy works. You'll need to build a financially strong team, which will enable you to bring better players, which will bring you more money, then more better players and so on.

GDP? It's the least of your worries currently. Yes, it's probably not the most ideal solution, but it's good enough. Let's say they managed to fix zones somehow, and that GDP wasn't implemented. If you don't have a versatile team, and you keep playing let's say motion and RnG, your opponents will play 3-2 zone. The effect is same as with the GDP.

Anyway, my point is, when you learn to play this game, GDP won't pose you much of a problem.

Look I already know what your saying about managing line-ups and game shape. But GDP, is a problem to me in a sense that i will suffer penalty for playing always normal focus. That is what I dont like with GDP. I like to play a balance offense, outside shots are also important, as well as inside shots. but with gdp, I cant play anymore like before. by only prediction, i will suffer penalty only because I love to play normal focus. that's unfair, always playing at a disadvantage because of GDP.

I know for you that your enjoying the benefits of GDP so have fun.
