Haha no problem, I don't like to see if a team plays Crunch against me, so I have no problem denouncing them :P

I once read it the forums that watching the game is not really necessary, the result of the game is already calculated at the start of the game.

True, but watching the game is sooo much fun ! In fact for me personally, it's the part i like the most on BB, watching the game and stressing over it like a real trainer, lol, while it happens.
Not watching the games wold take a lot of the fun out of it, for me personally.

I just love watching the games, and i learn a lot about the tactics while doing so. Because while watching, you can see where your weak spots lie, where you are suffering a lot of difficulties, and what your strong points are. In fact, i watch every competition game and every cup game. The only games i don't watch are the friendlies. Ofcourse, i can't always watch them at time they happen. If i can, i watch them live and if not i watch them at a later time, but then without knowing the score in advance ofcourse, as that would take all the fun out of it. So as long as i haven't watched the game, i let the score be hidden. The score only becomes unhidden, once i have watched the game. This is a setting in the options (but only for supporters).

i disagree with the notion that you shouldn't watch your games

It is true that the game is calculated in advance, however, it is calculated based upon who is on the court. If you have a late meltdown, it might be because someone wasn't on the court, thus there influence wasn't felt. The calculations happen during the 15 minutes prior to the live show option starts, but you should know that those calculations take into account the players on the court. So you could analyse the boxscore, but something things aren't shown in the boxscore.

personally, i prefer analysing the play by play option :P gives you more information

@ Quiquits
you got inpatient. you were playing an away game, which from past experiences generally is a horrible idea to use a CT on. you need to be desperate to do that. Also, a CT means getting one win, but generally losing the next 4-5 games. considering the cup might be your savior, it might only be 3 league games then. However, those 3 league games come against Vottem away (unlikely to beat either way), home against Obira (there was a decent chance there) and away against Sgolba (which also was a decent chance).

So in reality, you took a risk to win one game and threw away the chance to win 2 others (unless if Sgolba or Obira were to waste some enthusiasm aswell, which i'm assuming they didn't do). When playing CT, you always need to keep the following games in mind... That is why i believe that a CT isn't a good option, unless you intend to dump you enthusiasm (or a CT at the end of the season to secure your 5th spot might be worth it...)

well it didn't take long for us to disagree on something :P

still, CTing an away game was to risky imo. Also, DMI (aaah, my favorite where i generally disagree with Joe) is an indication as to where the sublvls lie in terms of training & Gameshape. And unless i'm mistaken, the DMI heavely favored the hometeam. that aswell would have convinced me not to CT. i doubt you would have CTed in his position.

Also, i'm unfamiliar with saving enthusiasm, but i noticed that rainmakers never tried harder than his opponent in any of his league games, which would have put his enthusiasm higher than Quiquits one.

So after taking all that into consideration, i could say fairely that i wouldn't have CTed. i would have gambled on the fact that i would defeat him at home and take my chances against Obira or Sgolba afterwards, trying to win one of those games.

Wow guys take it easy it was a meaningless game for both of you :P

But I really loved to read both of your arguments :)

I quite agree, I would have probably tried the same.

@BigT :

Although it is satisfying to tell when a crunch time has been done, please refrain to do so. This is part of the game, sometimes you get crunched sometimes you crunch someone, life is life.

But telling others is wrong : Guiguits' next opponents will know they can field a weaker team and/ or save TS by playing TIE, which is not necessarily something they would have done otherwise. This impacts also their opponent's next games, and so on. Not to mention that it might have an impact on you as well : easy wins will grant your future opponents the opportunity to field better teams against you since they didn't need it in an earlier game.

EDIT : I also believe it's part of the manager job to estimate the GS of the opposition ;)
