Being American has little to do with how I set up the regions in this example. Being American has no bearing on the set up. Being a history professor specializing in European studies is the basis behind how I designated the regions.

I have 1757 players for sale and I'm $25,835,360 in debt. Buy them at outrageous prices, or be selfish and make me go bankrupt. You decide, BB.

I think everyone could be happy if we just merge by language ...

Because micro-languages is a lot better idea than micro-nations? How?

So short answer... No, I will never support merging countries.

Better solution is allowing players to select country they want to represent.

For the league yo uplay in though, I agree with you 100%.. Let each manager choose.
Of course, that'll never happen for many of the same reasons trading players will never happen ... and it shouldn't.


So move a few at a time, over time.
Making more and more work for the bosses, and stretching out the whining indefinitely: "You did this for that team so I want it, too."

I had that in a different game, the highly populated leagues became overcrowded and the small leagues even less populated. Maybe in connection with the shutdown of like 10-20 nations this could work though.

If this happened I would probably find myself going from Div I. to about Div III.. I currently have 2 players on over $150K a week so I would have to sell them in order to not go bust. I would then have to replace them which is where the biggest problem is. As these players are only really usable in Div I. and the number of Div I.s have decreased, the demand for such players will be diminished and I would not get much of a return on them. I would then have to pay over the asking price for players which fit the Div III. wage bill, as demand for these players will increase. If I don't manage to get find these players I could find myself stuck in Div III or even relegated when I should be challenging for a title.

A merge is not the solution for this game.
