Back then I listed the number of active managers from all 98 countries and when I added them up, it revealed a total of 39,965 which is 8,117 more than the 31,848 active members that are listed as being part of the game today November 27th 2013, in the Communities Forum on Buzzerbeater.

Yes I may have made some mistakes (unlikely) and yes it probably is a quiet time of year leading into finals and Christmas, but statistics dont lie.

This thread is not to attack the game but instead try to come up with some ideas which might again increase its popularity, so if you have an idea or suggestion, please put it forward in this thread.

Now for some examples of the decline in numbers in different countries

Australia 462 now down to 410

Well despite what I think have been improvements in the game with the overextension tax and the GDP, the number of Managers have still dropped further from when I first started this thread

Australia is down to 372 active Managers and the overall number playing according to the community page is 29,656.

I was planning on winning the season 28 ABBL championship, but had anticipated when I set this goal, that I would have other Australian Managers to compete against.

Is it now time that some effort or money was put into promoting this great game?

They are working on the second team feature that can generate sone extra money that could be used for advertising.
And changes don't bring in large numbers of users in no time. It takes time to see what effect game changes have.

I agree with you. Also, i seem to remember that when we had very high number of users(I don't remember the actual number), the servers were basically dying slowly. Box score delays, slow site, bidding problems, etc. Of course, this is now fixed because the number of users was halved, and everyone seems to forget that a lot of people left just because of that. I wonder if BB can once again host so many users if it will be the case.

BTW, i love the second team feature, it really changes perspective a lot. A lot of nations that speak the same language, or have the same roots will unite in a really neat way. That's just my opinion.

I don't think it going to help. Paying for a second team. Is nothing more than farming. None said that has to win any games. it pump and dump.

To me that is not fair. I don't see how it create more users , maybe in false way( same teams with new identity) but in real life way it not bringing anyone in new. It just bring more new teams.

If managers cant play in another country. what stopping the exact same managers from being in same exact league.?

These are a few things, I would like someone to touch down on.

In my hearts of hearts. I think its too many rules and one sided tactics for to long hurt that this game. To many phathom injuries no player injure reserves, then when they add something like tax exemption with no vote of the peers till after it happens, tax buying limits with a vote after it happened. Its just bad taste in few mouth. The game has changed since season 1 or 5. Price for player s are actually going up it not getting any cheaper.

This game is crippling teams at the bottom with feees, that who is leaving the most. Teams at the bottom. A few team at the top leave, I don't think a second team at the bottom will help them stay . ita not fun hitting a low ball club with 50% on the tax. Very ,very unfair.

What to tax teams and limit buying ok fine.but do it end of the season. Its to many fees and with roads games. like so back to back. I doubt any new young player know anything about budgeting, not one guide on budgeting. How to re coup finances. Not one guide.

BB need work on the small things 1st . I understand fairness. but eery thing that goes with it in due process should rollout as well. It like a void almost

Paying for a second team. Is nothing more than farming.

Pretty sure a lot of people won't be paying to farm, get caught, and lose both teams and their money. At least I won't be.

it pump and dump.

Seriously, WTF are you talking about half (generous) the time? There's definitely a void... and I know where it is.

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

Oh and by the way, now that BBs are asking opinions before adding something, you have people saying they should have not ask the community and do their thing directly. Impossible to please everyone.

Yes life and Buzzerbeater are full of contradictions

As much as it is a concern that we have a drop off in numbers I sometimes think that we would be better with a few less characters.

( its not your good self that I was referring to)

I dont have full supportorship so.I dont see the full forums So maybe that is why... I saw after it set in stone alot was asked to vote on it.

I also feel its impossible to farm to start unless youve played before., You have to have money to do that. I can understand tanking and going down in leagues, but as far as someone build a new team and out right tanking the odds of that are very slim but with second team who can stop them, no one said they had to win,. none said they had to be in another country. So to me that my greatest fear of second team it has the ingredients of tanking, same country, same leagues, good knowing managers.

I dont think the game taxing training for small ball clubs is the best options, maybe of certian worth and etc. But 50% off the top is way to high with no proper arena of players to bring in incoem to start. I think trainer salaray setting need to changed to seasonal not weekly, this would help everyone afford a decent trainer. Im trying to look at it from angle. I feel like new player are going to be stuck in a cycle with the taxes set at 50% for low ball clubs.

It take some time to bring revenue and player cost go up pretty fast. Me personally i dont a new player should go after 4 a hall of famers . Maybe 2 hall of famers and the rest lower rating. Its more managable
