I have to say that I have never read that bit about the coach changing tactics half way through a match, that's opened my eyes a little.

So what is the point of chooseing tactics if your coach is going to change it during the game? How often do you think this happens? Every game?

I think happens pretty much every game, but it's hard to say how often.
The players will always try to look for the best possible shots, and sometimes that's not the tactical outside or inside shot. I played look insides with 15-20 3FG shots, that pretty much indicates I didn't choose the optimal tactic, like this match (13252453). But in this match I only took 5, which shows the tactic was allright (13252509)

The other part of the alinea in the rules is this;
However, any time that the coach makes a change away from the tactics you started out with, it will be a less effective than if you had simply chosen to double-team the post all along (i.e., you will find that it is easier for your coach to tell the defenders to focus even harder than they already are on inside defense if you are already playing a 2-3 zone). The closer your submitted tactics are to the optimal choice, the better, especially because the coach is only able to make limited adjustments once the game has started.

So choosing the right tactic is important, since the adjustments are less effective.

It happens every game. You will always get the best result if your tactics are "correct" to begin with. There is then much less need to adjust.

because the rigth tactic is always better, like it stand in the rules. Maybe someone quote this from the engine section about adjustment, and the rigth strategy.

The thing to consider here is that your coach will not change your tactics.

He will make adjustment at your tactics in order to improve the performance of your team if he decides is needed.
