Wow, crazy games. Unfortunately for you playoff crunch time is the default. It looks like they went bot sometime during season 9 (probably towards the beginning) and were then moved to D.V in a bot sweep.

I'm in a somewhat similar situation, where the team I'm playing in the finals just went bot and they had a monster player. Fortunately for me, he went all free agent on them (2254577), so now I don't have to face him in the finals.

I can confirm, from several of my leaguemates going bot over the course of the season, that their roster stays intact until a new manager is appointed to take over the team. In my league, this happens fairly quickly, but apparently it doesn't in yours. Does anyone know how they determine which team a new manager should take over? They obviously can't place someone in D.II, and probably not D.III, but my brother was put in D.IV and I am in D.V. Do they just start at IV.1 and fill all the bots until they get to IV.64, and then start over at V.1?

Thank you for a detailed explanation. On the same subject, can you please share some insights to the advantages (or disadvantage if any) of getting promoted as a champion vs promoted from bot clean up? There is brief mention of this in the manual but that is all I can see. Thanks.

I don't think there is any difference other than you don't get that shiny trophy:)

Both promoting league champions and teams that promoted from a bot cleanup will get the extra cash, though bot-promoted teams will not experience the same boost to their season ticket holders.

hehehe I guess so. If you are not a Supporter, I don't think you even see a trophy. The above quote is the only thing I see. I was wondering if there is more details since we got someone inside BB discussing on the subject. :)

I'm not sure. My guess would be a former human manager was building the team up and quit. I would also assume that when a manager quits, his/her team isn't cleared until the team is appointed to a new user.

It should be cleared transfer list when players with salary roughly above 10k (maybe a bit less) hit the market. Maybe it only happens when teams became bots through inactivity and nto if for other reasons, dont know. If that you faced lsot its manger due to inactvity I would report a bug.
