Interesting observation: Dragons. What's the story? Are they just bloated with a lot of players? Are they poised to make a late season run and have been tanking thus far? Sitting at #7 in salaries, I'm wondering why they're not at least lucking into a few wins here and there.

I think the problem with them is one player gets the 55% of all salary expense. This guy-Bumbul- is the league leader in scoring over Mina you mentioned in another post I guess. But I am with you on this one, with an NBBA level guard they should have won a few games.

my two cents - It's a team game. it took Jordan 5 years to figure that out, but once he started passing the ball and the Bulls started adding guys who could at least play a role, the team took off. It's a marathon all-right, and developing players is the best part of this game. If I am not competing for a top spot in 2 seasons in Div II, then I'll blow it up and start again by buying a group of young trainees and work my way back up. Look at the Hawks, they are well rounded and dominating. Crazy's are doing the right thing too. Get a game plan and stick with it. Balancing minutes, American players, etc.. it all goes together and is tough to manage. Regardless, great discussions! Glad I check in occasionally.

IVd like to take my player rankings using the hollinger game score and hawk,s salary analysis and calculate who's getting the most out of what they are paying for. this is some great work.

Thanks. I have a very tough second half and now a bad cup matchup. I thought I had a shot to challenge for 4th, but I think it will good if I can finish 6th.

Just doing a follow up. I have compiled all of the Hollinger Game Scores through the latest games (Season 11, Week 10, Game 2) and have managed to compile a list of all players that are currently on rosters for League III.4 as well as included any players that have played at least 1 game for League III.4. The data you are about to see is only for Salaries and does not include the study on Hollinger Game Scores and Salaries yet since I only compiled all of the salaries today.

If I run out of space, I'll create another post in response.

A couple of facts I found from my research:

* Of the 247 players that are currently on League III.4 rosters or have previously played the minimum of 1 game in League III.4, their are 115 USA-born players compared to 132 Foreign-born players.

* Foreign players in our league are being payed significantly higher than USA players, which is rather ironic considering that fans are supposed to dish out more for ticket sales and merchendise when they get a chance to see the players of their country. This tells me 1 of 2 things: USA players are playing below the standards or USA teams are generating far more revenue than that of teams on foreign soil and therefore have the means to pluck the rich talent from other countries.

* Rip City is the most diverse squad in all of League III.4 which includes the fact that not a single member on his team is USA-born. That does not mean he has never played a USA-born player on his team this season. Out of the 23 players he has has given a contract to, 3 of them were USA-born. Out of the 23 players that have been given any sort of money this season by Rip City, he has fielded 16 different countries.

I have heard of equal opportunity but that is taking it to an extreme degree. I think I can help you out with some advice Rip. Not a one of your players understands each other on the court. That could be the problem with your recent roller coaster season. lol

I have 2 foreign players.

I hope to be able to sell them after the draft and replace them with talent from the US.

That sure makes the merchandise money very nice.
