They could just post a sticky with a link to some off-site forums and then post transfer ads/police themselves there? Seems like a win-win.

It seems like we a few things we can safely declare as facts:

- Many people like posting ads on the forums

- Many people do not like the current ads system

- The people in charge of moderating the forums are against ads in forums due to the fact that they cause a ton of moderating work above and beyond the usual moderating

How does the following compromise work:

We create a forum that is designed to be for nothing but transfer, scrimmage, and PL ads? This would be largely unmoderated for content other than for things that aren't allowed anywhere (referral links, profanity, that kind of thing). You could use bold, underline, post in whatever language, post multiple times, who cares? It'd be a place where you can advertise to your heart's content without actually getting in the way of the rest of the normal forum business.

That way would be fair to all countries, would not be a strain on our moderators, and gives you freedom to aggressively market your players, scrimmages, and PLs.

What do you guys think?

It was clearly a joke and it has been already deleted, as you can see.
I think it's not the case to make yourself as a victim of bad bad bad italian people, and by the way, you misunderstand one post (I repeat, I'm not the author of this post, but it's clear that it was a joke) and is it enough to appeal to "all italian managers and GMs"?

BTW, about what BB-Edju suggested, I'm not so "optimistic" about how we can handle an external forum without generate complaints about "he posted 100times more than me" "my ads have no visibility because traders post 100 players in a row" and so on.
And I think it's not a good idea to create something completely out of control, it would be surely helpful to step back to the previous 2 thread (Scrimmage Ads and Transfer Ads) and if we find out that it's a so heavy work to do, then hire 10 or 20 MODs from all over the world. It's our duty to handle the forum as better as we can.
Just my 2 cents.

I am thinking of a routine which only lets you post one ad on each category.. once a week. ;-)

Should be time based like the transfers are right now, so after 168 (or less) hours it runs out automatically. Still it would have the nice forum look where you could read one by one or newest first ...

Transfer ads could be forced to contain player ID etc. Best of both worlds at last.

I'm not sure if this is possible for a forum at all .. just brainstorming. ;)

This thread is for trying to find a solution which can make all BBs community happier than now.
If you have personal matters with Italian community about a thread you can write in it or you can use BB Mails to me, or to other Italian GMs you mentioned above.
