Maybe a neutral offense like push the ball would be better.

You would know your players best but for Princeton to be successful you need:

1. Good passers for all positions
2. Your shooters have good Jump Range as they are looking for 3 Pt shots a lot.

As Princeton is still a sort of outside orientated tactic, his 1-3-1 would still be able to shut you down quite a bit.

If you go Princeton I'm willing to bet money that you lose. The 1-3-1 will smother your outside attack leaving you with a half hearted attempted at making layups. Princeton aslo seems to work better in the higher leagues where you have multidimensional more talented players and seems to fail in the lower leagues. If you want to win I'd try LI or Base for your best chances.

Play whatever you want but I advise you to play an Outside tactic because his Outisde Defense is only inept and you said you can reach to mediocre so.. I would go for it.
