Denver Nuggets 103, Utah Jazz 107
Scoring
1 2 3 4 T
DEN 37 33 15 18 103
UTA 19 17 36 35 107
I remember that game. What I am trying to say is that this is not an everyday thing and especially when two equal teams are playing. Something that I cannot say for the game of Sacramento (13-14) against Bulls (10-16).
It is not right to include college basketball since it is nothing like the real NBA or European basketball. I agree you can see this kind of differences in College games but very rarely in professional games in NBA and even Europe.
Anyway I am not complaining about a defeat I am just saying that it doesnt sound right in my opinion especially if two equal teams are involved.
If it helps here is the link of my latest game. http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/24068352/boxscore.aspx
23 points difference (33-10) in the last 12 minutes. I know the homecourt factor plays a role. The gameshape of the players were similar, the matchup ratings similar.
Thanks for answering.

Base Offense isn't a good taktik against Man to Man defence, your opponent has good FW-Stats, your player got in foul trouble espacially PF and SG. The PF & SG of your opponent scored good and maybe they got some momentum in the last quater. Don't know the motivation of you both but the lose might be ok.

His SG had very few points until the beginning of the 4rth. All of a sudden he could not miss a shot. If I am not mistaken he just missed one or 2. Other than that I used the Base offense cause my team consists of nearly equal strenght players ( nearlty as it shows from the ratings aswell).
Anyway to cut the story short, what made me write this post isnt the fact that I lost. I am ok with that. He was playing in his own court, the teams are fairly equal or close to equal. What I didnt like was the sudden scoreline in the 4rth quarter. In the first 4 minutes oif the courter he was wining 20-3 if Iam not mistaken. Then 25-5. And fisnished with 33-10. No matter who made a shot he couldnt miss. Even his PG with value of about 6,000 against my PG of about 30,000 salary.

I always play follow the dept chart. If I played follow dept chart until 4rth would this not happen. I am asking so as to learn cause to be honest I was very upset after the end of the game cause it didnt seem right to me. Not between equal teams with similar game shape with similar enthousiasm. It just doesnt seem right to loss this way.

Anyway thanks Skill for your time. I wish it never happens to me or to anyone else cause it feels very unfair to my eyes.
Thanks again man.

That's part of basketball, teams get hot and make runs with momentum changing back and forth.

Even his PG with value of about 6,000 against my PG of about 30,000 salary.

His PG only shot 3-10, which seems inline with his 77ppg matchup rating. Salary is not always a good indicator of performance, you're leaving out the important skills that drive those salaries, enthusiasm, etc.

It will be hard for you to improve your team with this viewpoint. From a neutral point of view, this game seems to have played out fairly. Maybe it could have been a little closer, but it was within 10 points until the last couple mins.

Maybe your players dont have great stamina, have skills that need to be trained up to be more rounded, the tactics weren't the best (he attacked your weaker outside defense with the RNG, successfully), maybe you need to work on other aspects like managing enthusiasm better, etc. I'm just brainstorming here, but these are probably better things to focus on then second guessing the GE, at least in this case.

Its easier and might don't take that much time.

I included the college scores because there are 5 divisions in BB and only the best of the best could be considered NBA-ish. D.1's of Spain, Italy, USA, Germany are the NBA. The rest of us are lucky to be even NCAA level. Thai d.1 is more like NAIA women's hoops.

Anyway, you also have to consider the fact that there are more games played in one season of BB than have ever been played in the NBA. It stands to reason that there will be more examples of weird outcomes.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

Insteed of creating a new post i decided to expose some of my doubts about the game engine:

1. If i have a PG and SG and a SF with lots of driving and passing, does this mean that they will be always penetrating and trying to make good passes in order to disrupt my opponents defense?

2. if i have my PF and C with good passing will they recieve the balls inside the paint, and try to pass it to an outside shooter?

3. if my forwards have good driving, does this mean that they have good post moves and they will aply them agains defenders?

Thanks, Obrigado
