Well how boring would it be if the best team always won? And many teams see it as a trophy to have won against a great team. If that is the only thing some teams can take from it all it may still be worth it for them. And i just think its great that no team has such a thing as an "free" win.

Right!
But...the ridicoulous thing is that often weak teams plays CT against the best teams, often losing and then they are in a very bad TS situation so they finish to lose a lot of games that they could easily win if they didin't made that CT
So,some Nt-coaches could say"I made a great job because I beat X or Y",when their mandate is fallimentary because in the final ranking thier team was passed by team that play in a more traditional way

The point is that they *are* making the right decision. They are keeping their team in the competition by any means possible, even if it just means that they'll be useless in the rest of the competition.

But this just not happen in the last game of the qualification, when they are forced to win with any instrument to pass, often they do this in the middle of a qualification group, with other 3 or 4 games to play

Decision: CT vs. No CT

Outcome: Qualify with no hope vs. Go home.

Even though I don't value Qualifying with no hope, for a team that has never made it that far that can be a goal.

And the decision for a "big" team would be?

Decision: TIE vs. Normal

Outcome: go home with a great team and tons of enthusiasm in the pocket vs make it to next round with another victory and 1 point less of enthusiasm.

Good NTMs are not only able to make smart line ups but also, and more importantly in high level of competition, they are able to understand and anticipate what opponents will do, creating a strategy in order to maximize their performance.
